It's been awhile since I've posted a hand here, but this one left me a bit confused and feeling like I misplayed.

$1/$2, 9 handed
UTG limps, folds to LJ
LJ raises to $12 ($400 starting)
HJ calls ($600 starting)
folds to hero in SB with AcKs
Hero raises to $46 ($450 starting)
UTG folds, LJ and HJ call

Flop ($135): KcQsTc
Hero checks
LJ and HJ check

Turn ($135): KcQsTc(6h)
Hero bets $75
LJ folds
HJ calls

River ($285): KcQsTc-6h-(As)
Hero checks
HJ shoves for $330
Hero folds

Any advice on the hand is appreciated. HJ is mid 30s reg who has been at the same table as me for around 5 hours at this point. He's definitely capable of bluffs.

Thanks in advance.

Why did you check the flop?

Did you consider bet/folding the river? (I'm OK w/ the check, but not if this guy will bluff if I show weakness.)

I'm fine folding river unless you have some great read at the table that he has worse.

I’d probably bet the flop, I don’t love it but it’s awfully wet so I think there’s value to be gotten from worse. I don’t hate a check, as Vs have a lot more KQ, QT, QQ and TT than we do. As played, I don’t think I could call here. HJ has all Jx combos and even given spazz factor I think it’s a fold. If HJ can shove here with ATC, then WP by him I guess.

I bet the flop 50% here with AK, probably always checking AQ. Also only betting KK 50% here. I really don't have much of a range advantage here.

It also depends on stack sizes. If we were 100bb deep I have no problem betting the flop and calling a jam.

My issue with this hand is that we're getting to the river with 0 combos of Jx after betting the turn... I definitely think HJ is capable of making a nifty bluff here.

More pre somewhere around 60, you're pretty deep
Have you seen him make big river bluffs before? With this sizing it's probably Jx or air. Read dependent, but I'd tank fold
