1-2 NL 300 max

Hero: Hero has a laggy image. Super tight table lots of limp-calling and weak tight play. Raise pre and c-betting should be printing money at this table

V: Just sat down about an hour ago in mist of Hero's laggyness. He has started giving some action so hero has slowed down considerably but he still probably views me as laggy/bully. V is a passive player. Lots of limp calling. A recent hand between me and V. I raise 11 pre V calls. Kx86. V checks. Hero c-bets 15. V calls. Turn 7. Check/check. River Q. completing flush. V checks. Hero bombs 40. V snaps with QJ. interesting flop call. With a few other hands, I've noticed V didn't just sniff out my bluff. He's a station, clearly. Level 1 imo

Eff. stacks $500

V limps in EP. Hero decides to iso to $12 with Q9 in the CO with a button who is basically auto-folding. Shortstack BB calls. V calls. Flop K710. Check, check, Hero bets $25. Shortstacker folds V calls.

Turn A. V donks $35 into about $85. This deep should Hero EVER be raising against this opponent and with our image? I thought calling was best because I think I still get paid when the obvious flush hits and didn't want to get blown off a big draw. I call. Thoughts?

River 4. V checks. $155 or so in the pot. How often are we taking a stab here? What should sizing be? I hate to give up on such a big pot but against a stationy V are we ever barreling this riv?

c/f river, V is going to call mostly any river bet by the way you played the hand. He has a K a large majority of the time. Definitely betting any amount is -EV just because he calls so much.

I guess I need a omgz I flopped that nuts against a spewy station on tilt what do I do thread to get a few responses but I feel like this is a standard spot that comes up frequently and the right decisions can definitely have an effect on wr. So I'm assuming everyone agrees this is a standard check back. What Vs are we firing against here when we have 0 showdown value? How often? I feel like most of the times Ido this with missed draws I get called by so much bs that I would always fold if I was V

Should we rarely do this at 1-2 unless against a nit or someone with history who really respects our image?

I don't think this is a good spot to try to take a 'station' off of an ace. Check it back.

You told us in the previous hand history that he snap called when he binked 2nd pair... What makes you think he can find a fold now?

Calling Station
From Toby Bochan
Definition: A poker player who calls a lot of bets in a game, but rarely raises or starts the betting himself. Often this kind of player just wants to be involved in every hand, no matter what he has.

You don't bluff donkeys that can't find a fold button when a fd clearly has missed
