[1/2] Double barreling on a paired board [1/2] Double barreling on a paired board

I’ve been sitting at this table for about an hour and both V have been there the whole time. 1/2 game at 3pm on Saturday.

$250 BTN - Hero is 30y.o. slightly losing image, in for 300. Has been losing hands to V2.
$200 SB - V1 is a 70y.o. rec. He is positionally unaware and is trying to call a raise, hit a flop, and get paid.
$400 UTG - V2 has been running hot. He always seems to have the best hand. He leads into the PFR sometimes when strong. He c/r when strong (not sure if always). He doesn’t seem like the bluffing type. 50 years old with a patriots hat and glasses. Level one player.

V2 limps UTG, 2 unsurprising wide ranged limps follow. V2 limping range is something like top 40% of hands here. Hero is dealt 98 OTB and raises to 15. This sizing has gotten a fold from V2 about half the time. V1 flats, V2 flats, 2 folds.

$45 Flop QQ7 V1 and V2 check. This seems like a fine board to cbet. Hero bets $25. V1 calls. V2 calls. It seems to me that neither considered leading or raising here, though this could just be me wanting that to be true.

$120 Turn QQ7 3 V1 and V2 check. Hero decides to bet $70. With both checking again, this seems like a good card to double on. Am i crazy here? One V is probably on a club draw. The other isn’t really clear, but slowplaying a naked Q this far into the hand seems less likely for these 2 more straightforward players. Is this spew?

Grunch from title alone: LLSNL Vs tend to be huge non-believers on paired boards, ime. I like value betting paired boards with TP+, and don't like trying to get folds unless I've seen V has a fold button specifically on paired boards

I think the question you should ask yourself is - If I get a caller, what am I doing on the river with $140 behind and a $280 pot. Since they are both fairly straightforward players and called this flop, I'd venture to guess one of them has a piece of the board.

You isolated with a suited connector. I’m guity of that as well and I agree with others who have told me not to do this. Limp behind is cool.

Now that you’ve raised and gotten two callers, you have a paired board and two calls. Queens shouldn’t hit your raising range as well as their limp/calling ranges. And you didn’t actually improve. At this point I’d be thinking “one of these f*ckers may have a Q. Time to shut down.” You have no equity and probably very little fold equity. If either is on a flush draw they aren’t going anywhere OTT. Fish love to chase. I’d check turn, bluff A or K rivers that aren’t clubs if checked to. Fin.

I think continuing on this turn is pretty optimistic. I think the flop c-bet is fine, but not one but both players announced their interest in the pot on this flop, and the blank turn doesn't change anything. You just don't have much fold equity in this spot.

I would check back turn and hope to spike a pair and get to showdown cheaply. Don't see the point in committing more chips in this situation.

Open fold flop

Open fold turn.

You are way overcbetting and this is an awful turn to barrel
