8-handed 1/2 game on a Friday night.

V1: 40's black male. Mostly irrelevant in this hand. Just one orbit ago, he called Hero's flop bet with AJ high on Q97cc board.

V2: 40-50 Asian male. Speaks little English. I recognize him as a reg in the room. I think I've seen him play 2/5, not sure. Been at the table for a couple hours. He's pretty splashy pre. More straightforward post, but he's still been involved in several spots. About 20 minutes before the hand in question, V2 raised AA pre. Checked a paired board to a tilted old guy who was short stacked. Old guy shoved, V2 called and won. V2 covers Hero.

Hero: 30 white male. Been super card dead throughout the session. FWIW, I'm been struggling to get anything going my past 9-10 sessions. The table probably views me as tight, maybe nitty. If V2 was paying attention (and if he understood me), he heard me complain about being pretty card dead. Bad on me I know. No pertinent hands with V2 up until this point. $290ish.

OTTH:

Early position raise to $7. V2 calls on BTN. Hero calls with 2s2d in SB. V1 calls. One other calls. 5-way to the flop.

Flop ($35): 6s4d2c

Hero leads $26. V1 calls. V2 makes it $75. Hero?

Is this a standard GII spot? Can we flat and GII on the turn? My thinking is that V2 could have 44, 66, or 35. But I also think he could have two pair, an oddly played 1010-QQ, or maybe a spewy bluff. I believe this spot is standard, but I'd appreciate feedback nonetheless.

I GII now. He has all of the range you gave, plus pair+GS, imo. 35 is pretty unusual for a raised pot, even with a splashy V. Flatting seems to give Vs the opportunity to play perfectly against us as we're OOP.

Folding a set would be pretty terrible here. AP just shove.

I'm having a hard time ranging V2 given description.

How deep is V1? You mention he's irrelevant but his stack size could give us clues about V2's BTN calling range. A small raise from V1 and a call from V2 could mean different things depending on what SPR V2 is willing to play.

Given info on V2 we still don't know if he's super competent. The line itself looks really strong but we're not folding a set here.

Shove here seems best since oop.
pre call is fine.

The fold pre's here are real trollerific. Calling a 2.5 bb pre raise is fine with a pp particularly in your position. For what it's worth, I like a flat here and leading weak on the turn on safe cards (essentially anything above a 6) to keep the other V involved. We can check fold 3s and 5s to significant aggression, and I feel ok with that.

I think shoving pushes out the other V and greatly reduces our potential winnings. We know what the safe cards are, and it's most of the deck,so we can play perfect too even oop.

Thanks for all the feedback. We GII, and V2 has 53 of hearts. Turn and river are bricks.

I'm fine with the hand. I'm just going through a little downswing, and like always, it's just frustrating. I'm ok with losing, just not ok with losing because I played bad.
