Hero A6dd

Blinds 2/1/2 (mandatory 2 on the button)

$200 effective

Utg+1 opens to 16. Folds around to me. I fold. UTG folds.

Should I have called and saw a flop? Pot was $21. I don't think i was getting the right odds and sizing seemed strong. If an ace hits the board I might lose a lot of money. And without diamonds hitting I most likely am crushed.

Feel like it was pretty tight . Definitely in a calling range one the btn, also potential nut flush . Top pair, etc . Guess it would depend on how I felt about utg+1 . Around me 15 is about a standard opening bet . I could also be reading wrong. If you weren't on the button and in SB,or BB . I would have folded as well.

Standard enough fold Imo.... Generally folding a6 - a9.... In that spot, I like the 3! With a2-a5suited flatting a10-aj, aq is marginal and AK is a 3!

A6 you are basically playing to make your flush or 2pair, your never in great shape if you only make 1pair, so I'd just fold tbh....much rather have 56s or 75s imo

I wouldn't call a SC in the SB for 8BB with 100 BB behind. Not enough money back to make up for your lack of position and hand that is likely going to require a couple streets to develop.

Easy fold and next hand. With a smaller raise (say 5BB) and OTB I'd consider a call depending on skill advantage and reads on V.

Good fold. I fold suited connectors too. You do not get enough value from out of position when you are ahead. I might even fold as strong as ATo if the UTG+1 raiser is not particularly aggressive. You should just be really tight from the SB. Maybe defend wider against small late position raises, but against an 8x early position raise you do not need to call anything but strong hands.

Weird responses in this thread. AT is an obvious fold and so is AJ. AQ is borderline. AK is a flat.

This is a fold without a thought.

You pretty much nailed why you fold this. Just to add, you've only got a 5% chance of hitting 2 pair or better on the flop, which is about the only way you're going to be able to make money with this hand out of position. With a bet of 8 BB, there isn't enough money to pay you off for all the times you'll need to check/fold this hand on the flop.

As you get better, you may see some opportunities to call this against certain villains that have exploitable tendencies. But without knowing the villain well, your default position should be to fold.
