Hero: On the button, has shown a couple of bluffs ~$450

Villain: Came from a broken table with >$1600 has played maybe a dozen hands here calls very thin and always thinks he has the best hand. Impossible to get him off MPTK or TP weak kicker.

6 limpers to the hero who, with AQh makes it $25, four callers.

Flop: 3d7c10h

checks to hero, bet $75, folds to villain who makes it $200 on top.

knee jerk reaction tells me he is not capable of extracting any more out of a set and is satisfied to win the pot here, then a feeling of "is he capable of check-raising here with a bluff?" sets in.

Thoughts?

I'm never betting this flop into 4 other players...just -EV....check the flop and hope something develops on the turn.

+1

Soon as they called $25 pre... 12.5x... You know you need to hit the flop if you don't already have a PP. They not folding.

Don't c-bet.
As played, easy fold.

Not that it matter in this case, but you should also indicate position of villain and the limpers (and reads on the limpers).

I agree. C-bet air with 4-callers is not smart...although I have seen it work on a few occasions.

I figured it was irrelevant to the situation

Villain was in the CO

Limpers were UTG+1 and MP UTG+1 is a Bosnian who only chases, will bet super large with big pair, call anything with drawing hand. MP is a boring nitty retiree, not worried about him.

This thought ran through my head.

I eventually tabled my cards and he showed a bluff.

This kinda contradicts reads given in OP though.

God no. Jamming in this spot is just closing your eyes and hoping villain is bluffing. When you get called you are practically dead.

CO calls pf with his entire range because "pot odds" when it gets back to him. He has a lot of random TX hands in his range, plus some 2-pairs (T7, 73s, even T3s), and some sets (77, 33) and as per your read, he's never folding any piece. Plus it is really rare for a villain to put in $200 on the flop then fold for another $225.

As played, super snap fold, but you should have checked back the flop. A c-bet into 4 players is going to take down the pot so rarely here.
