These hands are from 2 different sessions, but both should be short and sweet so I figured I'd include them together and save time and threads.

Hand 1: 1/2 NL - Hero has been at the table after finishing a tourney and table seems to be standard 1/2 table. V has been fairly tight, and playing straight forward, generally his betting patterns indicate the strength of his hand. He's an older gentleman but prolly not quite OMC, but I would say his opening range is 99+ , KQs+ , AJs+ in most cases. Stack: 160 and Hero covers.

Hand:

A few people limp and V makes it 8, folds to Hero on the BTN who makes it 20 with QQ, folds back around to V who inquires how much I have behind, thinks and then flats.

FLOP:

*Are we betting here, and essentially turning Queens into a bluff? What line should be take knowing this slams a bunch of his range.


Hand 2: 2/5 - Hero has been at the table for a bit, after transferring from a 1/2 that a GIANT whale was at, and followed her when she transferred. During the session had ran it up to 600 after c/r a KT8cc flop with QJcc in a 3bet pot and getting paid off after turning the nuts, Ax, and rivering a flush, 3c, against the whale, who called with JTo. V is new to the table but is a seemingly solid LAG talking about big tourneys coming up and is confident in his game. Older gentleman, who has been running hot, calling with any 2 pre and playing decently post flop, especially when he smashes the board, winning 2 pots against Hero for a couple hundred when he flatted in the SB with 24o and got 2 streets out of me before I folded river with JJ on a 22T7x board.

Effective 3 - since I wasn't able to reload since the hand before was the 24o hand.
Table is 6 handed around 2AM, V straddles to 10 on the BTN. SB BB and UTG call, Hero makes it 45 with KK (sizing is prolly bad, but since it was short handed small raises had been getting through fairly often) folds the BTN who makes it 100 even to go. Folds back around to Hero who..?

*I think that his range can be really wide here,but skewed towards any pairs, big broadways, etc, and he's attempting to outplay me post IP so is flatting and then c/jamming the best option on safe board, considering I'm fairly positive he's going to cbet near 100 percent of the time, or is 4! the better option here?

Hand 1 I am raising more pre, prolly 30. I think it's close between betting once and checking turn or checking flop and getting to showdown. I usually cbet and if V calls I give up on the turn

I don't know what stack sizes are for hand 2, it was a confusing post. If you have 600 to start the hand I might shove and hope V stakes off the JJ QQ AK but it's tough to give a play without stack sizes...

Both hands: raise bigger pre.

Hand 2: sigh/ship.

Hand 1: C-bet flop for $25 and hope it gets checked down if villain calls. That is a very scary board and hits a lot of villain's range. However, you raised preflop, so you can represent AX or a big flush draw. Your hand is a little to good to just give up on, as villain will need a very good hand and/or draw to continue.

Hand 2: Shove pre. Once you put in 1/4 of your stack preflop villain is going to know your committed, he won't bet air here if he is any good. Put him to the test now and get him off weakish AX and smaller pairs before the flop. With your stack $45 is actually a good size, enough to make set mining unprofitable while giving you a good chance of getting 1 caller. Getting raised is just a bonus.

Hand 1: V checks Hero, thinks and ends up checking back, because the stack sizes are so shallow, I don't think he's folding any Ace or diamond on the flop.

Hand 2: Hero elects to flat the 100, and c/jam pretty much any flop, as V will continue regardless, and will be committed with any piece IMO.
