Late night 1/2, 9-handed table with 1 out this hand, table is full of regs, lots of table talk, lots of straddling, mostly from one side of the table with a competent lag and a couple tags having fun. Their antics have loosened up what was a pretty quiet game before. There is a mark on my right and a weak passive player to his right which is the only reason I'm in the game still.

Hero (540) - early 30's, relatively unknown since I only got back into playing live at all in the last 2 weeks, probably nitty image overall but has been more active last hour or so (getting smoked by the deck)

V1 (160) - late 20's taggy reg I don't have much experience with, raises 6 or 7 from ep whereas 10+ open is the table norm, I personally recognize him from a few years back when I used to play live more and he's still at 1/2 so he's prob a mediocre grinder at best

V2 (480) - early 20's tag I've been pretty impressed with so far just with some idle chatter and watching him play, plus has the respect of a couple regs

Both V's probably view me anywhere from nit to tag.

2 folds, V1 raises $7 from MP, all 4 players flat including V2 in the cutoff, hero looks down at AK and 3b to $50. V1 thinks about 30 seconds and calls and V2 pretty quickly and casually tosses in a call.

Flop ($171): A J 7

Hero thinks for about 20 seconds and leads $120.

Additional thoughts on V's: V1 usually buys in for $300 and has been there for at least 4 hours I've noticed so is obviously not having a great night, especially not if he's reloaded at any point. The previous night he left around this time IIRC. If I check he could cram a wider range than he'd call thinking a check is a scared QQ/KK much of the time and I won't call if he views me as a nit. A bet he would most definitely view as strong and only continue with top pair or better. It's my sense that V2 will play very straight forward and not get out of line. From what I've seen in smaller pots he hasn't been putting in bets or raises without strong hands. If V1 jams tho I expect V2 to have the same observations as me and could put me in a very tough spot.

Thoughts?

Pre sizing is fine if you got 3-way, you probably could have gone higher and got HU.

I'd go a little smaller otf. Whatever you bet, V1 is facing an ai decision. And besides AQ and some combo draws, $120 into $170 is forcing V2 to fold all worse.
