1/2, ten handed, $250 effective. Villain is a fish who plays very passively pre and pretty aggressively post.

OTTH

Villain straddles $5 UTG, we $20 +1 with A A and only villain calls.

Flop ($43): K 9 8. X-$30-c.

Turn ($103): Q. X-x.

River ($103): 7. Villain bets $80. Is this a no brainer?

Why are you checking the turn vs a fish?

I'd bet the turn. As played, it's an easy call.

X turn because so many 2p combos + JT got there. I guess I answered my own question - I set up an easy river call with turn x. I don't love it though on this board.

It's not a great board, but vs. a fish who can be aggressive, you have to call. If he's ahead, muck.

Do you hate the line if we call?

Vs a decent player with reasonable ranges, i actually like this line. We block flush draws and 9x/8x are folding turn often.

Vs a preflop station who can have like K4 or 6h3h, definitely bet turn.

AP, clear call otr but i'm not that happy about it.

I prefer to bet the turn against a fish.

As played, you have to call.

Prefer to bet turn, not so much because he’s a fish but rather because his straddle range is so wide. AP I think this is a pretty easy fold on the river.
