1/2 @ SHR

V1, SB $200ish . . Foreigner, rec player about 40 years old. Was pretty short stacked and caught a few boats in a row to bring stack back up.

Hero UTG $325 covers everyone, 21 yr old wearing hat/hoodie. TAG, chipped up stack from $130 to $325 with only going to showdown twice showing TT & QQ.

Onto the hand:
Hero dealt AA UTG; opens to $13. Folds around to SB, calls $12 more.

Onto flop HU, ($28 pot - rake)
Ad 8c 3c
SB: Checks
Hero bets $13
SB: Calls

Turn ($52 in pot)
Ad 8c 3c 7s
SB: Checks
Turn Hero: $26
SB: Call

River ($100ish in pot)
Ad 8c 3c 4s 7c
SB: Checks
Hero: . . .?

He check calls all the way down, and clubs got there on the river. The way he peeled of his chips on the flop and turn screams flush draw. I might be able to get some value from hands like Ax like AJ, occasional 2 pairs A8, etc. But If I half pot it again or go for any value and get jammed on, are you guys calling. What do you guys think about this river spot, the line I took and such?

I would target an A on the flop and bet a little more. Maybe $20.

If he calls now pot is a little bigger and on the turn I bet more than half pot. I may bet the pot in fact as I want him to pay to chase here.

Now your read on the Villan is key on the river. If you have seen him chase FD does he c/c when he hits them or does he bet into it.

Those are the things that will make me check or bet river.

you start with around $130 in these games but play TAG, or you started with $200 and did not top up back to $200? Always top up, if the case...you want the most of the table that you can...

As for the hand, UTG PF is fine for $13, probably betting slightly more each street, but truly does not matter...as for the river, I feeling betting $38 gets the same result as betting $50. You either get called and win, or he raises and you are folding here. WP overall though.

I bought in for $130, If I were to take a 2nd/3rd bullet Id buy-in for 100BB's but overall I feel I'm more comfortable making decisions on the start with around $110-$160.. If I get below 50-60 Ill top all the way up.

Thanks for your thoughts!

One question is, if I know my opponent is on a flush draw going into the turn, what should be my approach to getting the most value? Do I still take this same line (with the exception of betting more), because once he misses the river, it's a check, bet, fold situation.
