Full Sunday evening game where raises don’t actually scare anybody, decent reads on everyone except BB and UTG, who are new to the table.

V1 ($500): Aggro but competent, probably two too many hands played away from being legit TAG
V2 ($150): Old super-nit. Probably the first pot he’s raised after several hours at the table.

UTG limps
folds to V1 at MP1, who thinks for a hot second before deciding to limp
one more limp
V2 on the button raises to $14
Hero in SB with AcAd ($600) needs an adult

Thought process:
-3bet here from me screams premium hand and I’m not exactly thrilled about turning my hand face up even if it is AA
-call invites the hand to be somewhere between 4-6 handed and I’m turbofolding most wet boards since I'm OOP
-there’s a chance V1 in MP actually has a monster too and is waiting for a 3-bet of his own since someone raising at the table is pretty much guaranteed (player two to his left has been LAGgy), which would explain his hitch in just limping in

What do?

3bet every time. You just have to 3bet hands that aren't monsters sometimes, too.

What to do? This is a DREAM Scenerio, you have pocket aces, you CRUSH both him and the nit otb.

I don't know why you would even remotely consider anything less than a 3bet here.

I think (hope) OP means if he flats, V1 might 3bet and then OP can 4bet.

However, I 3bet here every time.

only reason you could find this uncomfortable is that you are playing underrolled...

Basically this, yes. But the larger lesson here is that I don't 3-bet preflop nearly enough (read: at all) so it's something I plan on working on in the immediate future.

If you're uncomfortable with a 3bet, just jam all in

Dream spot. 3! to $45-$50.

Never flatting.

I enjoyed reading the OP. Good job. Altho you didn't say how others may perceive you, which would be good to know.

It sounds like you are saying you are perceived as passive if you think a 3! turns your hand over. Usually in 1/2 that perception is wrong b/c half the table is not paying attention. But in any case, yeah, 3betting a nit does make a statement to whoever IS paying attention.

I would tend to base the decision on how likely MP is to raise after limping. I'd be worried that even if he had an inkling to do so, he could change his mind given that the raise was from the nit. It would sure be great tho if he 3! and you could 4! or 5! shove.

Also, the nit only has 150, it feels mildly disappointing to just 3! and end up headsup with the nit and his KK. That might be the way to go tho...

Look around and count chips and look greedy and raise. People will think you're stealing. Somebody will make an error, maybe a huge one

Lol raise and stack the mp nit because he has QQ or KK every time.

I go way big in these spots, I'd make it 60 minimum.

3bet to 50 is fine. It looks like you're trying to steal the pot vs BTN iso.

Btw, this spot doesn't sound uncomfortable at all !

We're OOP, so mandatory 3bet. "Standard" 3bet should be 3x to 3.5x, +0.5x per caller + 0.5x OOP, so I'm probably going 60.

With an effective stack of only 150 vs the nit, we should commit vs. him on any flop.

Easiest spot ever, our only question is how much to raise.

The crux of this hand is that OP feels (probably correctly) that he always has QQ+ when he three-bets here. The solution is to very occasionally have other hands. Good ones to add to the 3-bet range are AK/JJ for value, and AQo/AJs as bluffs. Call with AQs and TT-.

Also, size 3-bets bigger when OOP. Something like $55-$60 here seems ok.
