I had been at table around 2 hrs. Got called 1x on a bluff. Other hands that i showed were always good. Not in many pots.So i believe my table image was pretty good. The V in this hand had played maybe 5 pots in the 2 hrs. Doubled up 2x after being SS. Wont give my thought process until after I get some feed back.
Eff Stacks:
V: $350+ in UTG+1
H: $280 in SB

5 limpers to me. I make it $15. V calls.+1 other caller
Flop:345 rainbow
H:Open $20
V:Calls
Other player folds

Turn:J
Hpens $35
V:Min raise $70
H:Calls

River:9
H:checks
V: $95
H:?

Fold.

probably a set. It happens. A guy that plays 5 hands in 2 hours jumps out of nowhere and raises on the turn with no serious draws on the board ... you are beat.

But whether it was a OTF or OTT - you kind of walked into it with weak bets. With 5 limpers I'm thinking you make it $20ish. And about 2/3rds OTF (you bet less than half).

OP, please include pot size for each street.

Raise bigger with so many limpers and with your being oop. $20 looks good. Bet bigger OTT. Why did you size it so small?

Fold riv. You said V has played 5 hands in two hours so he's not bluffing here. All you beat is Jx and it's hard to see how he has a J after calling flop. Maybe he has AJ but would he min raise turn?

A set or straight looks consistent with his line.

1:As to my Pre bet size, the highest open raise i saw in 2hr was to $11.Most were $7-$9. So i thought, based on that, i was making a bigger raise

2:When he calls the flop, i put him on 66,77, QQ,or JJ. He didnt appear to be the type of player to be the 1st to call $15 pre w/67 or A2. I also believed if he flopped a set,he wouldve raised OTF based on how I had see him play hands previously.

And the conclusion:
3:When the J turns and he min-raises, I was really thinking he hit JJ but like a donk I felt priced in to see river.
OTR, I folded to his bet.
He says "I knew I had you the whole way"& shows KK. I felt like Chazz Palmentari in Usual Suspects as he pieced together who Keyser Sose was.

Your bet sizing is atrocious. I don't mind your pre flop raise size. Anything $15-$18 seems fine. Your flop bet is terrible. It's not even half pot. Your turn bet is terrible. It's not even half pot. I don't get your turn play at all. Why did you call the turn with the intention of folding river?

Honestly idk why i bet small OTF.
I called OTT, b/c I convinced myself he had JJ and I figured 35 was just cheap enough to try to suck out OTR

More pre and more on the flop. I'm checking the turn. Pot control oop with an overpair becomes the priority even on a draw heavy board.
