Villain (BTN): mid 30s white man; seems like the reg fish type ($300)
Hero (BB): mid 20s asian man; sat down not too long ago ($350)

Someone opened $6, someone called and villain 3 bets to $15 (lol), SB flats and hero makes it $66 with AA. Folded to villain who tank calls and SB folds.

Flop: JT9 ($153)

Could've been worse, but pretty bad. With an eff SPR of 1.5 I'm either 1/2 potting flop and shoving turn or just overbet shoving flop. Which is the better option?

Usually fish won't 3bet JJ so we're good. $90 and jam any turn except a K or Q. Probably c/f a K or Q. Non-spade 8 also sucks and it depends on whether you think he'll fold KK to a ship.

Agree with m_b.

Not the greatest flop, but I think we're still ahead for now. Or, I should say, we are still ahead of his perceived range. Slight chance he has a set, but your average "rec fish" should most likely have QQ or KK here. Good that you have the As as a blocker here.

I bet $80-100. Call a shove. I puke if he flats and a 8, K or Q dribbles off on the turn.

I'd either shove, or possibly check-shove.

I imagine that after the Villain sees the turn his decision-making will be helped not hurt, and I see no reason to help him.

I'd just shove. I don't see a reg fish ever folding KK or QQ here.

I think its less likely he has KK (AA vs KK usually gets it in pre) and more likely he has AK or QQ here. I would bet 2/5 pot and shove any non Q or K turn.

With the flush Ace in my pocket I don't mind giving a good price here. V has 236 left so drop 3 green into the pot and let him flat or shove. I don't like the tank-call since it really brings sets into play. If you feel he can call without a pair then this wont be 'just' a wa/wb spot.

Can you go larger PF? Sure, but he may tank fold instead ... or jam!!
Can you check? Sure, but then he may get a free card and you are still stuck with awkward stacks.
Can you jam? Sure, but then it really is a wa/wb spot .. if he even calls.
Can you bet for value, Sure and it will be really hard to fold to a jam or shove the Turn yourself.

So does that mean jam? Since you're getting it in anyway?

The only way to get value from a wider range of hands is to bet for value here and the rest will take care of itself here or on Turn. These spots stink sometimes ... but AA does get cracked!! GL

Don't see him ever checking behind so I think a check shove will do fine.. His hand is pretty polarised imo 3 bet to 66 has to be aces, Kings or queens.
