i rly dont know how to play this spots on flop, bet for protection and be crushed by 53 on flop, and the other who makes AI preflop straight runner runner...

is better a check on flop? :S

I have no clue how you're in the SB and being checked to. Also, this seems like a bad beat story and a game I'd be happy to play in/happy to get JJ in with.

stack sizes of Villains in the hand and yourself would be very helpful.

1) With some shorter stacks in play there are two (maybe 3) routes you can go. You can bet a tad smaller, $40, so that if the short stack shoves you can re-raise to iso the pot Heads up. I do this a ton in PLO, but can be useful in NLHE as well.

2) If that is not the route you want to go, I'd be somewhere in the 2/3 to 3/4 pot size bet. I think $50 is too small with this amount of Villains and the connectivity of the board (straight draws and flush draws). If not sizing for the re-shove, I'd bet around $75. Charge the draws the max or even potentially take the pot down (which is a good result).

For the record, I'm doing one of the first two options about 95% - 98% of the time. but for option number 3 you could check with the intentions of check-raise OR pot controlling depending on the players you're up against. There is a decent chance someone could have 33 or 55 here with a bunch of limp callers and if you're up against a tight villain who only bets strength, you can maybe find a hero fold on the turn
