Home game with $1/$2 blinds, 4-handed, everyone is deep-stacked, $550 effectively.

CO (Villain) - Young reg, TAG image but I've seen him hero call a huge river bet with bottom pair and be good.

BTN (Hero) - Young reg, LAG image

CO raises to $10
Hero calls $10 with A4o
SB folds, BB folds

Flop ($21, HU) is JJ2r

Villain checks
Hero bets $10
Villain raises to $30
Hero raises to $85

What are your thoughts on this play?

Full-ring I'd fold this pre but calling 4 handed is okay.

Okay, so we cbet a dry board, so far so good.

Your 3bet makes zero sense. What value hands are you doing this with? Would you 3bet with a J? I wouldn't, maybe you would but I like to flat in position and put money in on later streets. Your 3b looks FOS.

Fancy play for no reason whatsoever. Fold flop > float > raise

Don't like the pre call. If you think you're ahead of his range, 3b it. If not, fold. I wouldn't mind a deep stacked call with a speculative hand that can flop big or put pressure on him, but A4o ain't that hand.

Tight V x/r and you figure he's bluffing. Hmmm. Furthermore, you've seen him hero call with a small hand. I don't think he should be a big bluffing target. Note that you're laying 85 to win 40, so he has to fold more than about 2/3 the time. Do you think his x/r are 2:1 likely to be bluffs?

I like a 3b pre. AP I don't mind the raise OTF, but fold to the x/r.

Fold everywhere, too much FPS.

Would rather call 64ss pre than A4o.

Most advice for this hand will be bad since not many players play deep-stacked 4-handed. For that reason, it's hard for you to receive any credible advice.

With that being said, this game seems agro and grinderish. Also, you're probably paying a higher rake than you should be since this is a home game For that reason, unless there was a massive whale in the game playing loose-passive, I would pick up and leave.

Lag image=3 bet pre here, especially 4 handed...
Calling here is just loose passive and not great Imo... 3! Or fold pre....be aware of what your table image really is.
As played I like to flat or fold to the flop raise....your 3! On the flop just doesn't really rep anything....on a board this dry, you would flat any j, and 22 so raising is pretty meaningless....flat and then you can check raise the turn if you like which is a decent line here,

This.

3! pre some of the time, fold some of the time. If I had been playing a lot of hands, then I'd fold. If I wasn't playing that many many hands, then I'd 3!.
