No reads on Vs except the table has been playing super tight

UTG fish ($150) limps,
Super-snug Hero UTG1 ($300) raises to $15 with KQhh,
CO, BTN, SB call, UTG folds

Flop ($60): QdJd8h
Hero bets $35, only BTN calls (covers)

Turn ($130): 8c
Hero bets $80, BTN calls

River ($290): 2d
Hero checks, V bets $100, Hero ?

——————-

Immediately next hand picks up QJdd in BB (not sure how I was BB but think someone sat out), the same two guys in LP limp as usual, SB fish completes, Hero raises to $30, CO calls (covers), others fold.

Flop ($65): KJ3ss
Hero checks, CO checks

Turn ($65): 9h
Hero checks, CO bets $50, Hero calls

River ($165): 9s
Hero checks, CO bets $90, Hero ?

Hand 1 is a call, he could have an 8 and wants to make sure he gets value from it or it could be a blocking bet. Either way call is best

I fold turn on Hand 2 but would fold river regardless. In my games calling down with middle pair is a losing endeavor.

Hand 1, an 8 is trips and he is in position so not sure what does a blocking bet mean?

Hand 2, I underrepped my hand and you still want to fold to a single bet?

Why are you trying to ISO QJdd from the BB anyway?

I'm folding both hands vs most villains.

I was on tilt. But they were playing so snug I was gonna raise lots of hands there and take it down pre.

1) Fold river

2) If the table is tight, raising QJs from the blind is a good play. Id sometimes bet flop, but when I check flop, Id bet the turn instead of check/call. As played, fold river.

This although in Hand 1 I might have b/f the river.

There’s barely any money left.

Just check/fold river in HH1. What do you think hes betting? Hardly anyone will bet QT or worse there. They just check back and hope they are good. If hes stupid enough to be chasing a gutshot with something like 97 and bet the river when the flush hits, good for him. You'll get his money later. I think the only legitimate hand he could have that you beat is AT (double gutter), but Id bet at least 75% of people with AT here just give up and check back. Its a bad runout..whatever. Move on.

Is the line upto the river good though? I get into trouble more often than not with KQs in EP. I hate limping it, and with position on a fish, I hate folding it.

Hero has $170 and pot is $290. Its close, but I think you can still b/f here assuming it is small enough.

Hand 1: River check is correct. You don't have to worry about getting bluffed because his worse hands have showdown value and will usually check back. Ap, kind of annoying since it's a small bet, but fold. It's actually an easy fold because KQ is the bottom of your range and you don't even have a diamond to block the flush.
