Hero/BB(300) Young 20s white, has been at the table for a few orbits and played few hands.

Villian/UTG(300) MAWG. fairly competant and doesn't get far out of line but can do some questionable things.

I like this turn card to barrel here alot.

My question is with 2nd pair NK is this flop bet too thin? Why or why not?

What if this hand was HU to the flop?

if he isn't calling with a fd he is calling with an ace or aces up. You are oop on a bad flop with second pair **** kicker. The ace is not going to fold him out.

I actually like the A to barrel because it is less likely he has an A and the FD missed

On the surface it looks like you played this very badly, but I'm not so certain the more I think about. Tell me why you bet OTF.

Well I bet this hand OTF because I think that any strong A puts in a raise preflop and there are so many x hands that can call a flop/turn bet.

I also expect any hand like AT+ to put in a raise preflop so that limits the likely-hood of someone having a TP type hand that can actually take some heat. when the A pairs on the turn this limits the likelyhood of an A even more with combinatorics.

Furthermore, on the flop im ready to bet/fold because I expect most of the hands that beat me VIA 2pair,flush,set,pair+FD to raise.

Your bluffing into two villains here who are likely to have air or fairly strong hands. Your not likely to get both to fold on the flop and after that your stuck. Continuing to bluff without having an idea of villain's range is just firing in the dark. It will work sometimes, but will also run into villains who are never folding and your just spewing money off. If you don't bet the ace though, it looks like you have a draw or have given up and are likely to get bet wide.

Even heads up I want some idea of villain's limping range from that position. If villain will limp suited connectors and small pocket pairs, then one stab is OK. Villain is likely to have no pair and no diamond and just give up. If villain's limping range is stronger and they have big pairs and big AX in their range, just check fold this flop.

Looks like an okay card to b/f. If you get called again shut it down.
