Maryland Live Casino 1/2

Hand 1:
8 Handed
Villain 1 (UTG): first hand I played with him. Seems like a taggish player and haven't seen him get out of line as of now. Covers hero
Villain 2 (BB): Loose passive fish, late 40s and seems pretty frustrated by not connecting all night. Stack is around 100
Hero (SB): Been pretty card dead most of the night, so image looks pretty tight. Stack is around 200

Preflop($0):
Villain makes it $8, 3 calls including the button, I complete with 65, BB calls.

I'm getting pretty decent odds here with my suited connector. Not always calling here but BB has been pretty quiet and wasn't expecting a squeeze or anything out of line.

Flop($48):
247

I check, Villain 2 bets 16, Villain 1 (original PFR) flats, hero?

I feel that with such a strong draw and being out of position that a check raise is the way optimal play, and try to get the money in now. Thoughts?

Hand 2:
8 Handed
Villain 1 (SB): Loose aggressive person. We have a pretty long history together. But I noticed he likes to use "position" as an excuse to play just about any hand and as such, his range is very wide and tricky to play against sometimes. Seen him flat with Q8o preflop and overshove a shortstack on a QJx board. Covers hero
Villain 2 (BB): Young 40s tight passive player. Has a stack around $120
Hero (Button): Been bleeding chips for a little but still playing relatively tag. Stack around 180

Preflop ($0):
MP raises to $10, CO calls, hero calls with T9, villain 1 calls, villain 2 completes.

Flop ($50):
985

Villain 1 bets $50, Villain 2 thinks for a little and shoves around $60 more, folds to me, hero???

Has everyone else besides the three of you folded on flop 1?

Hand 1 I am raising now...making it 75ish and shoving every turn. FE is at a premium here because while we have a pretty draw, we are also out of position with 6 high.

Hand 2 is shove or fold. Leaning fold, as I have a hard time believing top pair is ever good here.

HAND 1. I think you should raise to to $60ish with that flop

HAND 2. Do you have an opening range for the original raiser? IF he opens wide/too much, I would say 3-bet to $40ish. (with that, how wide would V1 or V2 call a 3-bet?) If you don't know OR's range, just fold pre.

I agree with shipit. TPNK is no good and you might behind a better flush draw.

HAND 1:

Look, we're committed vs. v2 with any raise, so w/e with him if we've decided to raise. Let's think about V1. Taggish player who doesn't get out of line. He raised pre and check/called this flop. What range do we assign him? It seems like a lot of scared pairs and hands with two overs, including some over spade draws.

Now that you have him on a range...what does that make you think we want to do? Think about his range.

My initial feeling is I hate the idea of raising to $60 as is suggested by others; I think it just prices in anything that is a draw that is crushing us.

I don't think I'd ever raise a size under what puts V2 all in. Shoving might even be optimal here in terms of getting V1 to fold the bottom and middle of his range.

Also, I'm not convinced V1 is a decent tag when I see that line.

hand 2

what were the stacks of MP and CO? This might have been a fold pre.

This feels like a fold on the flop when we assign them reasonable ranges.

I also have no clue what your read on the loose villain means in hand 2, he's in the small blind, he's not doing anything with "position" here.
