Game is 1-2-2 (1 on the button) NL with a $5 bring in.

Villain is super fishy.
- Never seen him fold preflop to a raise, and is playing around 95% of hands
- Just saw him double up with flopped trip 5s on a 553 board a couple of minutes ago
- Seen him make huge all in overbets with hands like K4s on 58TK2 boards

Stack sizes - Villain around $500, Hero $1100 (been running fairly good and I'm up a good amount).

villain limps UTG, one limper in MP, folded to Hero in SB with AsAd, I raise to 40 and Villain calls, 1 fold.

Flop 933r.

I've seen villain take stabs at pots when he's checked to, so I decide to get a little cagey and do a 'i'm giving up on this pot' check. He bets about 45 and I CR to 145.

Villain announces all in.... Hero???

No offense but what do you want? The villain is a maniac, he is as likely to have 72o as 99 or 3x or 93.

What is his image of you? I would just ignore the FPS and bet for value on the flop.

Do they still allow straddles from the button? If they do I would do it everytime btw.

PM villains description and I can probably tell you how I'd play it. I can make some guesses as to villain already.

Your plan worked. Unfortunately he hit his hand. It happens. But the actions you predicted happened exactly. That's proof that you own his soul in the long run.

If he limped UTG and then called $40 preflop in a game with a $2 BB with a hand containing a single 3, then fantastic for him, he gets my stack. If he had 99 or 33 it's a cooler. Either way, I'm not folding, he can easily have TT, 9x, 77 etc here. We also already have $205 of an effective $500 committed to the pot.
