Hello I am new to this forum, been only playing live poker for a few months, new casino opened close by. I have played online for years. I realize I shouldn’t even bluff with these hands because I can wind up in this spot but I guess 10Jh would put me in the same spot.

Villain is a fish, very loose, just watched him push his last 500 in on the river in a 2k pot with a missed str8 draw. The guy somehow laid down top 2 instead of calling 500 to win 2500. This was Just a few hands later.

I came back from smoking and missed B.B. I Mississippi straddled back in for $10 in the CO. $1200 effective. I have J2 4 people limp call $10 UTG+2 UTG+3(Villain) Hj LJ, it’s been very profitable all day taking down the dead money, I make it $60, villain calls, all others fold.

Flop ($150) 7104, checks to me, I bet $100, Villain calls.

Turn ($350) 8 Villain leads out $250, I call, thought about pushing but he is the type to call with anything.

River ($850) K villain bets $450.....

Go ahead, tear me apart, thanks!

Looks like a pretty clear jam given how spewy and bluffy V is. We aren’t deep enough to raise fold, so just go with it.

Preflop, you are clearly overusing this play. We have way better hands to squeeze with and limp along with here.

River is a call. I don’t hate the play and expect V to have J9 here a lot and expect you’re ahead. I don’t hate a shove but probably chicken out and call in game.

I don't really read V for a flush-draw when he leads turn fairly large like that. Guessing you face more 2-pair/sets/straights than flushes on the river and V probably struggles to fold. Therefore I'd shove river.

Preflop JXs is really weak. I might do this with QXs but even that's a little loose for me. That said if they keep limp folding preflop then you may as well keep taking their money till they stand up to you.

Thabks for the replies, it’s very helpful. I feel even if I just checked, the hand is still very hard to get away from, and ends the same way... I have lost 7 flush vs flush hands in the past 5 weeks, all 2 card flush’s 3 were flopped flush vs flopped flush. Last weekend I lost a 4 way $3500 pot, I had KQd he had A5d, am I just running bad or should I stay away from large pots with weaker than nut flush’s? I never see other people losing flush vs flush.

Maybe don't iso raise hands like with J2s. It's as simple as that. It's almost certain at least one of your big pots where you got "coolered" aren't coolers but actually just a compounded mistake of pre

Preflop is terrible.
Flop is good
Turn call is terrible UNLESS you can get paid off all in on the river when you hit the flush or gutshot. You still really need to fold the turn because you wont be able to get all in all that often......but now is your chance...
Jam all in on the river

Yes I tanked for about a minute and decided if I made the str8 or the flush he was never going to fold my all in on the river, not this guy. Any of the other tight players at the table I would have snap folded. Preflop I should have known he wouldn’t fold anything to my raise, this was my biggest mistake. I really didn’t want to play this hand 5 ways, only thing I could get to win was a flush and 5 ways it would almost definitely not be good. As soon as I saw this hand I was worried about this exact situation. I’m surprised nobody thinks I can make a big lay down here. Again thank you for the help!

I'm jamming this, I expect villain to have 56 here a lot with some 44/77.
