Angry 1/1 weak gut shot picked up more outs facing donk bets.

150bb effective to begin. Villain is a solid tag player who is a winner. Views me as tag as well.

Pre flop EP raise 4bb. I flat in co with 56
V calls in bb

Flop A37 (13 bb)

V donks out 8bb, EP folds and I flat.

Turn A379 (29bb)

V donks out 20bb

On one hand feels like a snap fold, but having go from 3or4 outs to 6or8 outs ott to the nuts makes me wanna stick around.

If I call I'll have 118bb stack and pot will be 69bb.

Just fold. Even assuming that all your outs are clean, you'd pretty much have to get his stack on the river to make this profitable. I would have folded flop to begin with though. In a HU pot your implied odds just aren't that great when you're peeling a gutter where 1 of your outs could be dirty. If I'm going to try to bink a naked gunshot I prefer the pot to be MW so my odds are much better.

Newbie follow up question : Does being on the button change action from fold preflop to call?

I'm OK with the PF call in decent position. Flop call is lighting money on fire unless you think you can to take it away OTT often. If V will fold when draw completing cards come in, then you have enough bluff outs. Vs most Vs though, this is an easy fold OTF.

Turn is not a call. It might be a raise sometimes, but it is not a call.

I would always call pre because people suck pretty bad post flop.

Flop call is questionable but I dont hate it. Would like it a lot more if there was 1 spade or else a rainbow flop.

Turn is a pretty clear call now imo. Raising makes little sense cause we only have 2 A9 suited hands and if we get shoved on we just wasted all our equity. A better turn to raise on would be a 5 or 6.
