Playing 7 handed. Competent reg opens to 4 UTG, weak reg flats in CO. I have AdAh in the Smallblind, I 3bet to 24(since we are super deep). UTG and CO both flat. The effective stack for this hand is around 440BB. The flop is 7d8dJc. I check. UTG bets 40. CO calls, I call. turn is 3s. I check, UTG bets 125, CO folds. ???? I ended up folding, but its probably exploitable to fold here. Thoughts?

Umm...

Lead flop ~$45-50. Lead turn.

I'm not sure what you're scared of. You underrepped your hand and likely folded the best holding.

Good check OTF, Kinda sucks as he has a sizeable range advantage, he has 77, 88, JJ and T9s and all suited flopped two pairs whereas you dont have any of those hands apart from maybe JJ and maybe 87s. This is one of your better AA to fold as you have the A of diamond, without diamond i would call, although i would probably still call anyway as he can be value betting AJ or protection betting worse hands to stop you from betting river.

you should be checking pretty close to range on this board

Terrible flop to check aces with Imo..... The board is so wet, we have to extract value now, we have to check so many turns...
We could then barrel this turn if we wanted, or a check would be food here. As played I think we now have to call, but I'm really not loving life atm.

lol @ the people saying to bet flop... I am checking every hand in this spot because I am at a huge range disadvantage

If you are going to check on this flop after 3betting AA pf, don't 3 bet pf. Call to set mine.

If you think you are crushed by the villain's range on the flop so much you can't bet out, why are you calling? One of the biggest leaks of LLSNL as a whole is calling down a hand they think might be good.

Bet this flop. Let someone tell you that you're beat.

OP check flop is ok/good. I'd considering betting flop small though, like 1/3 or 1/4.

The point people itt are trying to make by saying bet flop is that you can exploitatively bet this flop with AA, even with a large sizing, because people are unlikely to bluff raise "enough" and people are likely to continue with a lot of hands that should be folds (which you can then get value from on later streets).

All in all I'd bet flop small but check is clearly superior play vs good opponents.

As played turn I don't think I can fold yet. Although I can understand your logic for folding... I would need a very specific and strong read on that villain to fold AA here.
