£1/£1 Saturday early evening, 6 handed, 5 out of 6 V are straddling to £2 or £3. Biggest stack is £300
One of my good friend (Very good online tournies player) was in the area with his buddy (Was a live pro 5 years ago), so they decided to jump on the 1/1 for a laugh with beers. Play has been fairly loose pre without much 3 betting, most pots are raised and have 2-3 callers.
V - Buddy of my friend, has not played poker for about 1 year, used to be a pro, he straddled to £3. Covers hero. Don't have much info on him beside seeing him winning 2 fairly large pots with flopped-set-turned-house hands.
Hero (£220) - Usually play 1/2 and 2/5, only on this table because of my friend is here having fun. Played 4-5 pots having not shown down any bluff and only good hands.
Hero found 9J
UTG, I didn't see the straddle and went for £5 (Would have made it £11 had I realised), had to make it as £6 minimum raise. 3 callers including V.
Flop 864
. (£25)
V check, Hero bets £16, Folds to V, he calls.
Turn 5
(£57)
Chk, Chk.
River: 3x
V checks.
My inner thoughts
-If I bet, what am I getting called by? Will he call with a straight or T? I am not beating much otherwise
-I should bet because I should also have non flush bluffs in my range. If I do indeed have bluffs in my range, I can get called by non-flush bluffcatchers. But this is 1/1 VS a decent player, does this matter?
Do you bet this river? If so, why? Sizing? Do you call a shove raise?
