Before I post the hand I'll say that whilst the money I was playing with was very much disposable I wasn't properly bankrolled for the game and therefore was playing tighter than ideal imo. I had bought in for £125 and ran my stack up to £400.

V1 is a MAWG and seems to be a competent player, aggressive over a short ~90 minute sample but has had reasonable cards when I've seen him get to showdown so I'm not reading a massive amount into this. V1 and hero are friendly and have been speaking lots about the gaming industry and V1 has revealed he is a former gaming company employee and is now self employed hedging bets on the online exchange markets.

V2 is a 30ish Indian man who hero is friendly with. Over the past few days hero has played very aggressively versus him and he is likely frustrated that hero seems to be running him over. He is capable of playing much better than he has been but over the few days prior has been rather spewy and loose passive in earlier positions but randomly 3bets light at times with as far as I can tell no particularly good reason to do so (eg: position on whale etc)

V3/4 are a young reg/fish but aren't particularly relevant for the hand. V3 may flat the top of his range hoping for a squeeze but is more likely to squeeze himself with V4 being very unlikely to do so.

All stacks are £300+ with V1/2 and hero all being ~£400

Sorry for the long read and OTTH:

V1 raises to £6 UTG. V2 thinks for a moment and 3bets to £22. Hero is UTG2 and was torn between a 4bet and a call. A 4bet seems way too strong and almost seems like I'm turning my hand into a bluff given the positions we're coming from. I think AKs is closer but this seemed like a good flat. Hero calls with AK V3/4 call in HJ/CO. Pot is £96 when it folds to V1 who shoves. V2 tank folds. Hero ?

This is obviously the dream situation for V1 to jam very light and steal the huge amount of money out there, something I believe him capable of recognising and exploiting. However, whilst folding doesn't seem too good putting 400bb in pre flop with AKo doesn't seem great to me either. Does this hand purely come down to the size of my bankroll and whether I can sufficiently take high variance spots like this? TYVM

I think I just fold and move on tbh.
Depending on my mood, I can fold this the first time round also....
If utg raises and then utg+1 3 bets, this is some serious strength being shown here, we have nothing invested in the pot at this time, so im fine with binning ak for free
Having said that:
I don't 4bet, mainly because this almost certainly folds out tt and aq, leaving us flipping with JJ, QQ, splitting ak, and crushed by kk,aa. Not a range I want to play ak against.
When it comes back around, we have to put villan on qq+, ak, and against that range, we are best just to fold, in my view, really likely V2 has a k/a in his hand also which removes our possible outs.

Really alot comes down to gambling here, much of the time this is a 50:50 spot and I don't really want to gamble 350+ bb on a coin flip..... When I can generally find a much cleaner spot with definite value added.

The pot is £72 give or take a few quid, hmmm... you're up against QQ here. I'd probably call him and keep him honest. He could do that with any pocket pair, I believe you're up against a big enough range to call.
