0,5/1 TT cashgame

I'm sitting MP1.
I have a very tight image at the table.
I have about 85bb.

UTG straddels 2(~160bb), UTG+1 calls(~250bb), I raise to 7.
Folded arround and straddle raises to 17, UTG+1 calls, I call.

Flop: 8,9,9 two clubs. Straddle checks, UTG+1 bets~35, I raise to ~70 all in.

Straddler relative tight, UTG+1 little looser and more aggressive.

Re: 0,5/1 TT cashgame

Line looks fine. Pre is good unless straddle pretty much always raises his straddle, in which case, Mi would either overlimp/call for pot control or raise/4-bet for value.

OTF, UTG+1 limped and then called a 3-bet witht he first raiser yet to act. There are almost no 9's in his range, which is almost all PPs or draws, and you are ahead of almost all the PPs he could limp call pre with. If he had JJ+, he would have raised in the first place, yes? really the only hands in his range that beat you are 89s and 9Ts. Straddler has a wider range, but he checked this wet board after 3-betting, so unless he flopped the near nuts and is planning a check/raise, he's not a factor.

NH; WP, imo.

Oh, and welcome to the board.

If the read is that +1 is looser and on aggressive side, his preflop action pretty much narrows his range down to 22 - 99, A2s - A9s, A3o - A9o (hard to assess his love affair with Ace-off), bunch of random broadway cards, and lots of SC and connectors.

Yes, but he would never donk bet in this spot when hero's perceived as tight.

20 combos of T9, J9, and A9, and add 8 more if you think Q9 is in his limp/call range.

I doubt 98, 88, are ever donk betting here. LLSNL players just don't bet that big on the flop with nuts unless there is some well defined history.

Then there are draws:

A2s - A9s, discounting A9, there are 7 combos. Not sure whether 8 was or not, but you're looking at roughly 6 or 7 combos. We can also add 8 combos of JT, making it roughly 15 combos. We can also add more combos if we can figure out whether 8 is or not, but then we are starting to add a lot of 2 and 3 gappers.

So ya, without more information, it's hard to say that we're good in this spot.

I can see a lot of hands in that range limp/calling a raise, but a raise and a 3-bet? I really don't think j9 and A9, at least off-suit, are calling there, much less Q9.

I don't know what $17 means to these guys without being at the table...

Re: 0,5/1 TT cashgame

Can't we make a case for pushing it in preflop with that much dead money in the pot already ?

With the straddle we are 40bb deep, and we are very often ahead of utg+1 after he decide to coldcall the 3bet (and he's a little loose).

Re: 0,5/1 TT cashgame

I had almost the same thoughts then Garick, but put the straddler on a tighter range, because of my image.

Results: Straddle raised all-in, UTG+1 folded.
Straddle showed JJ.

I put him pretty much on AK or maybe AQ after the check on the flop... was a tricky check with Jacks.

UTG+1 was not a fish so i didnt put him on a 9 after the preflop action.

By pushing pre i think the straddler would've MAYBE folded the JJ.
