I can't find it, but at some point I noted how difficult it was to eat healthy in a hospital and leo doc joked (?) about grooming future customers. I'm not so sure it's a joke any more.

We've spent some time at Children's Hospital the past few weeks and based on two data points the unhealthiness of the food is proportional to the number of non-employee customers who look like they're one step away from a heart attack. I guess you can argue cause/effect, but if the burger doesn't automatically come with a mound of grease-soaked fries, not as many people opt to add them.

Doctors at both places tend to eat like ****, no offense to leo doc. Nurses are a little better (even when you look at older female doctors only since nurses tend to be femaler and older than doctors and I assume men in general are unhealthier than women and younger more unhealthy than older).

Not yet. He hasn't had dinner with me in Vegas yet. There will be a few other 2p2 notables in attendance so I fully expect he'll be shamed into eating his fair share.

I'm also kinda pulling out the all the stops on this one. It should relegate the CAZ dinner to a mere footnote.

The Doc's generous hosting of dinner and lavish lifestyle when traveling have confirmed his high level of ballerismo amongst those who know him and especially, those given a first hand glimpse of the Legend in action.

Too over the top?

Yeah I think it's probably gotta me like 15 words or less. Maybe:

The Doc's ballerismo became fully evident when the second course of filet mignon arrived.

They've taken up a collection to bribe me into making sure you eat well while we're in Vegas. I took it too, figuring it would offset some dinner expense.

Just got the rejection email today.

Thanks for your definition of ballerismo!

The editors decided not to publish my definition, however, they did offer me a job as an Urban Dictionary Editor!?!? I think I might be over qualified.

I'm 1/7th of the way in 1/4th the time.

However, I am definitely stepping it up. My wife's cravings for unhealthy food (she had gestational diabetes so the first few weeks it was like icecreamicecreamicecream) have dwindled, plus I'm getting better at not tagging along when she does have them. Curls/pushups/situps hopefully will start paying off and hopefully some of the non-loss so far has been fat to muscle conversion.

I'm currently treading water. Jesse you're highly +EV at the moment.

I have changed my habits quite a bit... however with all this training i'm doing the classes are going out drinking 2-4 nights a week.

Something tells me I'm going to have to work my ass off for this.

I lost 7 lbs really quick but I am now at a complete standstill. On Sunday I officially cut out all booze, butter, and pork. I already miss bacon.

I lost 17 and hit a Plateau - the key is portion control and exercise. But, bacon has a lot of calories and sat fat so that is good to cut out. Beer is bad for the belly, but booze has only 80 calories per oz (hard stuff). Remember I recommend vodka if you want to drink. Butter has sat fat and you can use better stuff - safflower (sp.) or some such - good for the heart. It has good fats and tastes as good a butter. I have heart disease (CAD) and I use it.

If you cut out too much your body thinks you are starving and burns muscle and not fat.

I see my cardio doctor today and I will be happy to inform him that I lost 15 pounds since my last vist. I still have another 15 to go.
