LAG/TAG opens UTG 6 handed, HJ calls, I 3 bet KdQc in the CO and both call.

2d4h5h...Checked to me, I bet, UTG calls, HJ folds

2d4h5h9h...Checked to me, I bet, UTG calls

2d4h5h9h6c....Checked to me.....Should I bet again?

Very opponent dependent. Can he still have AJ here? Will he fold it to you? I probably bet because I have showing down as losing to A8

I'd check flop. as played i'd check turn. thus im never here on the river. KQ high in a 6 max game should be played to maximize showdown ev no matter the positions imo. not the other way around.

for the river you should list his range of hands that can beat your best bluff(best in absolute showdown sense) expressed as a number of combos, figure out his minimum defense frequency based on the odds that you're getting on a bluff(8:1 = he should fold 1/9 times, or about 11% of the time), look at the best hand that he should fold and ask yourself if he errs on either side.

my guess is that checking will have a non zero ev thanks to the times we check back and beat KJ. its probably tough to find an opponent that folds so much more than he should that bluffing here is more profitable than checking.

In the line you took I'd check.

The only hand I think a micro/low limit player that would open-raise UTG that is not a pocket pair and that would call 2 streets would be an A-x hand, maybe 76s, 87s or Th9h. You'd probably get called by A-high (given the pot size) and by any pair.

I would've bet Flop, check Turn, then bet River if it was checked to me.

I would check back the flop planning to give up. The board guarantees that Ax is going to make it to the river and probably to showdown.

I think the turn bet is really bad. We have air on a board where better hands definitely aren't folding the turn.

I would give up on the river. Why would A hi fold on a brickish rundown? To put things in perspective, I think this is a spot where we could bet AK for value. That's how bad I think it is to bet KQ.

People routinely call/call AJ here and then fold to a river bet. Yah, if they are never folding ace high, sure give up is fine, but really player dependent.

Realistically no one ever has anything good here and your range is uncapped, so it can’t be that bad. However I’m pretty sure it’s better to take this line with kq with one heart to block their slowplayed flushes and give you equity to barrel down. Kq no heart it’s probably better to check at some point before the river.

I wouldn't have put a single bet in after the flop. This isn't a flop anyone is folding, especially any hand that has an ace. Pretty much every single hand is peeling the flop. On the turn, maybe some stuff like JT is folding, but it cost you so much. And on the river you are trying to fold out ace high hands? I'd call you if I had ace high. I'd just check river as played and hope nut king high is good.

I butchered this one. I play too fast sometimes and pretty much skipped my flop and turn decisions. I'm still trying to figure out when it is appropriate to check back flops. This one makes sense.

Thanks!

Learning when to check back flops is one of the most difficult things in limit hold em. There are so many factors.

To be fair I don’t think calling a bet on the river here with A high is a winning play. That’s why I think it can’t be that bad to bet.
