Suppose I wanted to start playing online again.... Suppose I wanted to start playing online again....

And suppose that currently the only software I have on my machine is TourneyManager (from back in my SNG days). Suppose also that I have some money on FullTilt and Stars, and that I get rake-back on FullTilt so I plan to start playing there. What software should I pay for? I assume this list is PokerTracker and PokerAce Hud. Anything else worth buying?

Sorry for asking a question that I'm sure I could have searched the answer to, but I'd like to get the current opinions of the small stakes online grinders here

No. There's good free stuff. Pokergrapher and I started using autohotkey stuff too which helps if you're multitabling it. I forget the site, just google pokergrapher.

The first hit for pokergrapher says:

PokerGrapher is a popular add-on tool for PokerTracker.

It allows you to graph performance of any player in a given Poker Tracker database.

All the databases you have configured in Poker Tracker will show up in PokerGrapher, but it can only graph against one database at a time. It will default to the player you set up in Poker Tracker as yourself.

Now I am confused.....

I don't know what you really want me say. Don't worry about the database stuff, you're talking 100k+ hands when you have to worry about that.

All those [TOTALLY AWESOME] graphs I post in the LC thread are made using PG, it's REAL easy to use and it's fast.

It's good stuff. And, like Chewly's Gum, you won't get cancer and it's cheaper than cigarettes.

poker tracker, and poker ace hud. those are both pay and worth it. poker grapher is a free download and not necessary but nice to post graphs with.

and ss, it's okay just to say 'i don't know what i'm talking about here.'

jesse, feel free to pm me if you need help.

I forget how many hands, I think it's 100,000 you can handle per database unless you switch to SQL. So if you're trying to graph more than 100,000 hands and not using SQL you're only going to be able to make two seperate graphs.

However, if you haven't played that many hands, or aren't really concerned, then it's a non-issue.

I use pokeroffice.. It's pretty good also except that for a limit player it shows most things in sums of $ instead of BB. I'm considering going for PT but the livetracker (overlay) on the PO is just absolutely great.
