Standard flop bet/cap? Standard flop bet/cap?

Live 8-16. Very loose table. Often 5-6 to flop. Mostly total calling stations that can't raise 2nd nuts on late street.

Hero dealt 24 in the BB

Pre-flop:
UTG+1 limps
UTG+2 limps
MP limps
HJ limps
CO raises
BTN cold calls
Hero calls in BB knowing EP players have no limp reraise range.
Limpers all call

Flop: 14 small bets
235
Hero bets
UTG+1 calls
UTG+2 calls
MP raises
HJ fold
CO 3!
BTN folds
Hero caps?

I'm pretty sure at least one of the UTGs is coming along and I have a pair plus open ended straight flush draw. A 6 could fill a gutshot for the nuts and if someone has a set my two outs are no good. But most of these players are paying way to much to peel flops with one over, I feel like it's time to push edge.

Tough spot. I would play it the same way. Flop is close between a cap and a call.

I would call the flop 3 bet, hoping to check raise a turned straight or flush and face the limpers with two bets on the turn.

What does this tell you about their flop raise/3bet ranges?

This action would never happen in a tough game; asking what to do on the flop is analogous to asking how much gravy do I want on my turkey. Just don't fold and you will be earning ev that would not be yours in a tough game.

MP raise was odd, hard time raising late street but raise draws on early street can happen so I think some of my outs could be tainted by this guy. CO looks like an overpair having to make a 3 bet or fold decision and correctly decides to fight for this pot. He's not one of the stations, more of a LAG.

I just call here to try to pad my draw. I don't want to isolate myself against the stronger hand ranges. Tough spot since your outs are likely tainted but you can't fold.

call>raise>fold

I mean it is a great draw but with so many people in there it looks better than it really is. Also just because a situation doesn’t come up in a tought game doesn’t mean it’s not worth discussing.

Don’t mind me. I just like making silly analogies.

no one is betting a worse hand for you on the turn. you wont be able to raise a bet vs. a hand you're ahead of if you hit.

if we cap are we setting up a bluff? seems pointless to me.

you have an equity edge. its a value bet the same way that raising pocket aces preflop is a value bet. for each dollar you put it in here you get more than a dollar back, like an investment.

It's cool. I didn't feel like I was being told to shut up or anything. I enjoyed the "how much gravy do I want on my turkey" comment.

Playing these loose/wild games is a different kind of tough. To me at least.

This is exactly why I capped.

All sorts Certainly ax and 6x if it means hero can now win with a 4.

Hero will not always benefit from knocking mp out but its easy to construct scenarios where he does.

ok, I see the argument there. it would be nice to buy three outs and we are never putting in money that bad.
