8/16 LHE @ Canterbury Park

4 callers, hero completes in SB with 89o, BB checks

Flop: 6 7x Jx

Checks around.

Should I be leading this flop with open ended straight draw?

Turn: J

Hero bets. 2 callers.

My thought is that I can represent a jack (bad kicker) or flush draw, with the semi bluff of hitting a straight if I get caller. Thoughts on leading this turn?

Betting the flop or checking the flop is a stylistic choice. I tend to check since this provides me more information and options by the time it gets back to me.

As played, your bet is correct on the turn. No one has shown interest and your not folding so you might as well bet. Maybe you win right away. I doubt anybody is putting you on a jack especially if you tend to bet a jack on the flop. Your just hoping nobody has anything to call with or you have the opportunity to barrel to victory or hit your hand of course.

You have 8 outs to the nuts. Bet flop for value.

As played, I would bet turn.

I would bet flop for value. I would bet turn if I thought I could get everyone to fold; as played I think that is pretty close to impossible, so I would check.

I bet flop here sometimes, check sometimes. After flop checks around, betting the turn is mandatory and I'd feel this is a good spot to continue betting most rivers that aren't hearts.

I think betting the turn is dumb you have 9 high and never win immediately.

Bet flop. As played, bet turn/river.

I should clarify. They're going to miss their draws or fear the paint on the river often enough to show a profit, imho, hard to crunch the numbers on this one, so go ahead and get stabby.

I like to check raise turn when bet comes from one of last 2 players to act. If it checks through no. If deal since we have 9 hi.

I like this, and it looks more like you're holding a J-ball weak kicker.

I lead flop here like 100% and 3bet some nonzero percent of the time. As played I think JL got the turn exactly right.
