Don't remember every detail of this hand, but would like general feedback.

4/8 game. SB is new to table but very loose and passive, BB is pretty aggressive PF and I have seen him take shots at pots with missed draws or marginal holdings.

I am in the CO with QTo. 3 limps to me, I limp BTN limps, Blinds call/check.

Flop is T high and pretty dry. SB checks, BB bets, one caller, 2 folds, I raise, BTN folds, SB calls 2 cold, BB calls, other player folds.

3 players left, SB cold call makes me a little worried.

Turn is a K. Pretty sure it brought a flush draw but don't recall. Checks to me, I check behind.

River is a brick, like a 2 or something. No flushes, no realistic straights.

Checks to me, I bet. 2 calls.

why would you be scared of a turn K?

if you're going to check any turn card higher than a T you might be better off just flatting the flop and underepping your hand to make sure one bet goes in on the turn.

and if you're scared of the SB cold call just fold the turn if the SB checkraises. you lose the same if you check river and call a bet, and by betting turn you still get to charge others when you're ahead.

You should bet the turn. At a 4/8 game I think betting turn and river for value might be too ambitious, but I’d definitely rather bet turn than river.

River bet is good as played.

yeah, turn bet/fold and river check behind was the way to go. why I posted felt I played it wrong.

BB says " I just have a pair' and shows JJ. I nod and muck. SB slow rolls QQ.

edit to add SB played AA the exact same way a few orbits later. smh.

They usually passive, even more easy bet/fold on turn .
