I may decide to Commerce trip as exception

4-6 tabling 2-3 sites OR 2 tabling via phone app & live 20/40+ LHE where allowed may be answer

BTW players in 20/40 half kill game I play live had 2-3 players playing Chinese or HORSE on phone which may be answere ninefingershuffle

if you’re playing 8/16 and you know people behind you act out of turn if you wait more than 5 seconds to act, is it unethical to purposefully wait a few seconds to act on that info?

I was wondering because I won a hand due to making a call preflop I wouldn’t have made had I not known how players behind me were going to act (they called behind me). I always find these spots really awkward to traverse.

I'm confident there are regs / pros / monkeys that purposefully do things attempting edge (ex: Commerce).

To each their own but I'd never purposefully do unethical action to attempt to gain edge. PS: I'm ultra slow player so may be mistaken that I'm attempting to purposefully gain edge

I don’t play slowly at all, but when something unexpected happens and I have a hand I might want to play, I might have to think about it for a few seconds

+1 will make best effort basis to play faster 2023

It happens, it happens & I will utilize info btw although unethical & bad for poke5 eco system imo

PS: Playing slow is -EV in long run ainec, more hands & faster = more dollars toward poker eco system

Don't purposefully slow down the game. Prefer "net counterproductive" to "unethical," but whatevs. Think if you must but even then keep it brief.

PS: Think solution is to play live LHE 6max witn max 5 sec, Chinese Open Face Phone, one table 15
game mix laptop would be best imo

You do undeniably make money by seeing people’s actions behind you, but yeah don’t want to introduce that element into the game.

Every once in awhile I do tank the river considering a light call, and usually wrong so that’s my karma for my sin of tanking. Nothing worse than tanking on the river and being shown the nuts lol

The people acting out of turn aren't the ones getting punished though, it's the original raiser who acted in turn.

Delaying for the purpose of obtaining information from players acting out of turn behind you means you are (a) intentionally slowing down the game; (b) for the purpose of inducing other players to break the rules. That's two breaches of etiquette in one.

If people happen to act behind you while you honestly have not yet acted, it's fine to use that information to your advantage, but trying to create the situation is wrong.

PS: Think players acting out of turn 99% monkeys / fish great for poker eco system.

Solution is to create mandatory HUHU side game for players who act out if turn imo
