Can anyone recommend any poker software that would make me a better limit player? Poker Academy Pro 2.5 looked good but they are out of business. Anything comparable??

Equilab or Pokerstove plus a book is probably better than the best training software.

FWIW I was asking the same question about 3 or 4 years ago. I could only play 6-max LHE online, and even at the lowest online stakes on sites like Carbon and Bovada (now Ignition) the play online was very tight, nothing like what you'd encounter in a casino.

I too was looking for a software program that would simulate the LHE you'd find at the low-stakes live tables (4 to 6 people limping into every pot, calling with any draw or piece of the board and only raising two pair or better). No amount of practice playing online is going to prepare you for such situations because you hardly ever get to practice multiway pots. You don't get to practice situations like when to go for a checkraise, what is your position relative to the likely bettor, should you push an equity edge on the flop or wait for a bigger edge on the turn yada yada yada.

The closest thing I could find was World Class Poker with TJ Cloutier. It won't simulate what it's like to be at a casino, but the AI players are unpredictable and bad. The pots on the flop and the turn should be big enough and multiway enough that you can practice figuring out how to protect your hand.

Hope that helped at least somewhat.
