I had this hot friend in high school who always carried a fork in her pocket (kind funny since she had to have size 0's taken in, but w/e). This dude tried to grab her boob when she was walking home alone late one night. So she stabbed him in the forearm with it. He decided to leaver her alone after that. Hot and crazy, imo.

Ha! Awesome! I knew I was missing something. I wonder how many times I would've had to watch the video to figure this out...some questions are probably better off not answered.

So this isn't the best time to move some of my action to AP/UB? I'm probably leaving one of the smaller sites so I'm left with just Stars/FTP.

How do the games generally compare to the other major sites? I know no one wants to say, like, "OMG so fishy". I assume it depends, like anything else, and there's an ebb and flow and whatnot.

For serious. The 10/20 games were laughably bad. 5/10 was **** too. I'm trying to get hands in, but it hasn't been easy this month.

I think once Cereus comes online it will get better. I think the games at 15+ are generally softer than on Stars, and I have been playing on UB a bit lately as well, because they have huhu tables and its pretty good as well. This whole scandal has really hurt them, which is a shame. If I were you I would put some money on, just to have other options. If you like to play huhu and 3-4handed, I think you will find the games there pretty soft. My new strategy is to spread money around on the smaller soft sites that have huhu tables and when a 6max 30 game is going I jump in. This enables me to game select much easier. Of course getting money on is a issue for some and you will most likely bust one of your accounts, but it makes game selection much easier.

Well nittags that game selects well on AP are 3BB/100 so I'm not sure if we need more of that.

Ha! No, we can't divide the AP family. What makes the AP regs thread great is how we can embrace each other and our differences and yet still trash talk, and make fun of each other. To me, this seemingly contradictory balancing act is what love is all about. If I ever get married someday it will be to a person I can trash talk, and make fun of, who will gladly do this same to me. IMO, the main reason the former AP thread got locked, is because the moderators either could not understand this balancing dynamic, or they simply couldn't appreciate it. Even if the moderators are too dense to figure things out, it won't change the fact that there's a lot of love in AP, and we wouldn't want to do anything to change that.

haven't we all seen enough divorce?

what i love about the ap regs, the thread and in general, is that we are all a family. we bicker, we hate, we laugh, all together. sure, i might tell biker to suck it, etc, but, the great thing about this place:

if an outsider tries to do this, the whole group of us stop bickering and turn on them. example, the ap regs thread gets closed, and all of us team up and complain. also, they try to, and succeed in taking the convertor away, we all follow them to their thread and ***** and moan.

all in all, i love you ap regs, even if i am mean to you sometimes, or tell you it was the worst flop raise in history.

but seriously, pokermom, if you are here, i raise, u 3bet, some tag caps, flop is KQJ, and i donk, and you raise AA

Re: ***Official Absolute Poker/UltimateBet Regs Thread***

im pretty sure the action went- i open with K9s on the button, you 3bet from the sb with QJ, and she capped from the bb with aces.

KQJ flop. you lead, she raises, i fold, you call. turn is a J, you check/raise. river is a Q, you bet, she calls.

you'd have to be really anal to call someone out about raising the flop there. i have like a dozen examples of 2+2 regulars making more suspect raises.

what you're saying implies that he/she should be raising the flop only with QJ+ (if not, less). and for a range of hands QJ+ (given the flop) that cold cap preflop, what kind of shape are YOU in even after filling up?

when PM raised the flop, i hated my hand, but i hit the turn, so c/r/call down and pray.

the flop raise might be only a little worse than my flop bet, but, i hated my hand on the flop, so i just bet.

at least i won that one

You pick on players for the all these silly little mistakes that are not that bad at all. I could pick 5 random hands played in AP's 5/T and it's a near lock that someone made a much worse decision than raising this flop. Do you seriously think it's a major leak for PM to lose an extra half bet or bet when his overpair is no good in a huge pot? Or are you just upset that someone underestimated the strength of your flop donking range? The flop raise wasn't even the worst decision he made on that hand.

I'm not saying that raising there is good. It's just that I played 400 hands there today and I could list dozens of worse plays than this, several of which were made by me.

Yeah I have this same conversation with him all the time. I'm like "You do realize they can't read your mind right?"
Sometimes I think TheHip forgets this fact.

The thing about thehip is that he expects everyone to put him on the nuts because he is such a nit and will only bet the nuts...but when people call him a nit he gets his panties all up in a bunch....

Re: ***Official Absolute Poker/UltimateBet Regs Thread***

thehip, here's an example of a retarded play that's not quite retarded enough to be worth mentioning, but whatever. The thing I like most about this is it doesn't matter what the SB had, he played it terribly. And he had been playing against me like a maniac and making the best hand every time so that made this favorite hand of the week.

*Important note: sb begins the hand with 5BB*

preflop: fish limps utg, couple folds, i raise the button with 2 cards, sb 3-bets, bb folds, fish calls, i cap, both call

flop (Ax5s6s) 3 players 13bb: check, check, i bet, sb raises, fish calls, i 3-bet, sb caps, both call

turn (Ad5s6s5h) 3 players 12.5BB: check, check, i bet, sb folds...
