Primarily growth in my understanding of the game. Also I'm much better at playing unraised pots than I used to be. It's just an experiment but so far I'm happy.

Growth in my understanding of the game has lead me to conclude that I should raise in this spot when I'm losing, in order to build a big pot and try to make a comeback, and to check in this spot when I'm winning, to lower my variance and help preserve my win.

Don't forget to vote yes on proposal 1 also:

PROPOSAL 08-1: A legislative initiative to permit the use and cultivation of marijuana for specified medical conditions.

I did a quick google search to see what are the odds of McCain winning. As of Oct 26, McCain is an 11-2 underdog according to a sportsbook in the United Kingdom, and he's a 4-1 dog accroding to Sportsbook.com.

I actually thought the odds of him winning would be worse. Perhaps they are given those numbers are a week old.

Both are absolute tools IMO. McCain has sold himself to the religious right. Obama is all smooth talk and no substance. We're screwed either way. One will make the world hate us more; the other will let the world walk all over us.

FWIW, I have strong Libertarian tendencies with a good mix of Goldwater Conservatism. There's no room in my politics for Socialists, Jesus Freaks (or sellouts to same), or other present or ex-legislators who think they can run the Executive branch. Besides, it's the big central banks that make all the rules and run all the shows anyway. The rest of this crap is just a distraction/diversion to keep us all divided and thinking that we can somehow make a difference on a large scale. The only place you can really make a difference is in your immediate community, and it all starts with personal responsibility and accountability. Take care of that and it's amazing how much will fall into place. Now STFU and GBTW.

I take it you're not voting then, but my guess is if you did vote you would reluctantly vote for Obama right? Is that accurate?

And I don't mind the STFU part but the GBTW part is just really cruel and offensive.

I am not happy with either canidate. Having said that everything that I hear from Obama screems socialism and I can't support that. I will vote for McCaine mainly because I think Obama will be an 8 year president and with McCaines age he will be a one term president and we can get new canidates in 4 years.

I found this link from some gambling site. I assume it's up to date.

Here's another link showing bodog's odds. These odds also appear up to date.

I am voting for Obama, as I always vote Democrat, but I dont personally think McCain would make a bad president and anything is an improvement over the least 8 years

I must say that I am pretty happy with the recent reduction in obnoxious miles avatars. I am however saddened by the lack of Criss Angel avatars.

I would vote Obama if I could be bothered to vote.

I always vote, and I always end up selecting the lesser of the two evils. This year might have to be a write-in. But if I can possibly bring myself to select from these two clowns, I think McCain is more qualified. I used to like him for how he shook up the GOP over the years and repeatedly gave the finger to the Bush administration, but I'm so violently pissed about his campaign pandering to the religious right that it makes me want to kick puppies. He sold his soul. I'm not sure Obama ever had one. Don't get me wrong, I think Obama is a great guy and I'd love to hang out for a round of golf, drinks and some pokah. But he's just too inexperienced and too much of a Socialist to lead our nation out of the present mess. And, I fear the people behind him (the puppet masters) more than I actually fear him...

Having been a small-business owner for the past 16 years, I've become socially liberal and fiscally conservative. Both parties utterly disgust me which is why I'm quickly becoming some sort of Libertarian.

Check out Nate Silver's (2p2er Nate Tha Great) site:

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/

As of now he says Obama has a 96.3% chance at winning. If I had 10k lying around I know what I'd be doing with it.

AP doomswitched me when I change my 2p2 avatar. I'm giving the Miles avatar one final day to redeem itself. If I drop another grand today I'm going back.

And I guess I'll vote for Obama. I haven't paid much attention but the political ppl are saying that McCain will be bad for online poker. That's the big issue for me. As I'm uninformed about everything else.
