Maybe he did, but like I said, the pic was a tough find (as an avatar he couldn't just right-click and search for it), and it's a pretty weird line to throw up the same avatar as another regular. We instantly got accused by recreational players that we were the same person and/or cheating, so it was a dumb play BS-wise on his part imo.

I recall him getting pretty irritated/belligerent when I asked him "wtf?" I dunno, it seemed like a defensive play to me, but whatever.

I went from $.05/$.10 on Stars to $3/$6 on Party/Empire/Eurobet in a period of about 6 months in 2004, off of an initial buddy transfer of $10. I started playing for a living in early 2005, got married, had kids, bought a house, bought cars, and got stuck on the endless cash-out to survive cycle where I couldn't grow my bankroll. I think my bankroll was never higher than $10,000 at any point in time during my career. That, combined with the fact I wasn't confident enough to move up if I couldn't even beat $2/$4 and $3/$6 prevented me from taking any real shots. So I was a LH reg for over 5 freaking years... Pathetic

So glad I made it to 30/60+ stakes before the merge, no chance I could handle a schedule...that's half the reason I became a pro poker player.
I was beating the game for between .5 and 1 BB/100 pre-rb before the merger, but didn't want to move up until I was beating it for over 2 BB/100. Not sure if that was even possible, but regardless the merger happened and I went from being a .5 to 1 BB/100 winner to a -.5 to -1 BB/100 loser virtually overnight. It was weird.

x2ski....@ the LH levels the rake is just oppressive. Although I don't remember playing with you when I would play 3/6 once in a while, I doubt you could get your WR much better without moving up in stakes. With $10k and the rb deal you could easily have taken shots @ 5/10 minimum. Another 2+2r and I did a bankroll calculation assuming a pre rb breakeven WR and then adding in rakeback...3BB/100 WR for 5/10 and 1.75WR/100 for 10/20 and playing a mix of about 75% 5/10 and 25% 10/20. The bankroll requirement we came up with < $10K, and thats for pro player with ROR VERY low.

edit: You'd probably be closer to b/e @ 5/10 and 10/20 just because of the rake differences.

Definitely not me... I made it a point to be very polite to everyone at all times, although in front of my computer I was very vocally wishing death upon everyone all... the... time.

I also eventually turned chat off... SNAKEBLISKEN and JDIZ4SHIZ started becoming real jerks and I didn't want to deal with their crap everyday.

i remember before i was a prop, me and mrdonk had a conversation like this:
(completely unprovoked as well)

me: are those your kids?
him: yeah

me: those are some ugly kids
him: **** you *******

me: dont get mad at me because your kids are ugly

he said something about it being uncalled for. I thought it was fun to get a rise out of him.
I think I was there for that... Very lol, and kind of backs up my belief that it was a wild coincidence I discovered his 50/50s on the Interweb.

I always kind of thought that, but was terrified of taking any kind of chance with my livelihood, having a family, mortgage etc.

The 1,000 BB roll and 6 mos. living expenses rule was always at the front of my mind, and I never got close to reaching that amount of cushion for $3/$6, as that would have been like $50,000... Who plays $3/$6 with a roll like that? Anyway, I never achieved anything close to that so I never moved up.

I always told myself if I only spent a month doing 100 hour weeks I'd be able to take a shot. lol... I barely got through 24 hours a week without killing randoms.

I know who you are talking about, it wasn't him....I remember that guy. I think he played higher than 2/4 and 3/6 as well.

Ya, waiting to beat it for 2 BB/100 was a bit ambitious I think. The rake is huge. Once I got out of those levels my WR shot up pretty quick. Although I actually think that was due to me improving my game a lot as well.

x2ski, 1000BB, lol, wow. I can't imagine doing this to support a family, must have been some stressful nights in there. Kudos. MH was the way to go, you were good enough to cut out a better living there, even on 10k.

Sailboats, you dirty dirty devil. I should have known.

Any ex-regs in the Southern CA area? I been playin the Oceans 20 three or four times a week this month.

never left more than $10k in my account. when my wife was on maternity leave and was only getting half pay i left $5k in my account. just hammered away at my 16-20 hour work weeks, and paying the bills was a breeze.

now it's countdown to busto.

Nice playing with yall!

Its nice to find out the guy i hated the most was an old friend *cough* high.tops! Also m4rble, but i didnt hate you. Keep limping your Ace rag =]

Towel I didnt even notice i was beating you. Everytime you flop middle pair, you would just call me down instead of raising when I had top top. That would never happen vs anyone else!

GCP im at commerce everyday playing 40 to 60.

Now where is rebuy.guy? I need him to come and tell me everyday that he is running -34% EV on the river for 4.7 million hands.

Whinebus you out there buddy?

Yeah I guess I should have made some stipulation of at least 20k hands or something. I bet heisenb3rgs 2.3k hands beats me. idk who zombi is.

I'm specifically talking at least 90% 6max play though. Cus it's easier to win more per hour if you're shorthanded, but probably you couldn't get 20k hands of 3/4 handed play.
