I noticed a very obvious strength tell lately at the low stakes. Examples from a couple recent sessions.

First time I noticed this:

I raise in MP with KQ.

Calls by button and sb, bb folds.

Flop 644cc.

sb check, I bet, both call.

Turn Q

sb leads, I call, button calls.

River K

sb bets, I call, button folds.

Sb has 56.

Another example from today, a hand I wasn’t in.

folds to mp who raises, button sb bb call.

Flop 774r

check to mp who bets, only bb calls.

Turn 9

bb bets, mp call.

River j

bb bets, mo calls.

bb has T7

So is this flat call flop, lead turn line on a paired board pretty much always trips?

Obviously not based on the first hand.

I would raise the turn in the first hand.

doesnt the first hand contradict your point?

I think it is more likely to be trips when they donk a blank turn than when they donk a face card. When the face card hits they like to see where they are at with a smaller pair and can fold if raised. Sometimes it's there way of bluffing a draw. If a blank hits, they aren't betting to fold. Many times they are hoping to get in a bet/3 bet. They also don't want to scare you too soon by CR the flop or turn. They like milking the bets out of you.

I must say that there were some live reads that went into the decision not to raise.

Sometimes people go for what I call the idiot check raise. That’s when you check call a street and lead the next card regardless of whether or not it’s likely To be bet.

At low stakes this line is probably stronger. At higher stakes it’s often some middling hand that doesn’t want to give a free card

weird line can be profitable... He raises flop, bet turn and you fold your ace high. If he donks turn you may think "what the hell? i'm calling". And he feels that if he checks, you may check etc.
I don't mean it's clear strategy on their part, it' more like subconscious feeling. Just make a note.

For what it's worth, I see this line played a lot as a bad bluff as well.

EX from just now (0.25/0.50 Bovada): Fold to me on button. I raise KJo. BB calls. Two players.

KQ2 rainbow.

Check. I bet. Villain calls

Turn: KQ24 all suits

Villain donks. I think the line makes little sense and call. What did he pick up?

River 10h. Villain bets, I call. Villain shows 92hh.

I think the difference is that I’m talking about a paired board that favors the pre-flop caller’s range in terms of having more trips than the pre-flop raiser, but less very strong pairs.
