The CO is an unknown younger kid seems like he knows what he is doing. The button is a bad lag.

CO opens, Button just calls, I call in bb with As9d

AdTc5c...I check, CO bets, Button raises, I 3 bet, CO calls, button calls.

AdTc5c5s...What's the play?

Betting the turn.
Leaning heavily towards bet/fold to the CO and bet/call to the BU.
Villain in the CO who "seems to know what they are doing" will probably widen your 3 bet range because you 3 bet a "bad" LAG. This puts plenty of Aces we beat in his range, especially his opening-from-CO-range.
I think that its worth the bet, even though there's a good chance we are chopping, but am curious what others have to say...

Seems like too much action on the flop to me. What are you hoping to accomplish? You don't really want CO folding two outers. Unless you would play a draw this way, because you might be able to win without getting there, and need to balance.

I am torn between 3 betting and calling flop. At the time I felt like I had the button crushed since he is agro but didn't 3 bet pre flop and could have all kinds of worse hands and draws. I also fear a turn check by him. The three did feel a little too much at the time but I think it's defensible.

At first I thought easy turn bet.

The fact that there is a decent probability that I am now fighting for only half the pot makes betting the turn a little less mandatory.

The description of BU as "bad lag" makes me want to 3 bet the flop. OTF, our kicker still looks pretty good and I'm including gutshot/flush draw combos for both villains. Bad lag could be 3 betting these holdings and CO opened, so could easily by continuing OTF w/ an Ace we beat, as well as hands like KcJc/QcJc.

OTT, I'm more worried about the CO, but we're not necessarily fighting for half the pot. Neither draws got there, and I don't want to give a free card. This isn't a great spot, but I still want to bet.

Although, tbh, most of my villains are bad loose/passive and I don't deal with bad lag too often...

I don't mean that I don't like my hand on the flop. Your hand is not super strong, but I don't want to push the opener off his hands that are drawing close to dead.

I think he has enough 4 and 5 outer in his range that we wouldn't mind him folding in what is becoming a biggish pot.
