I haven't played in 2 years but managed to get to casino yesterday.

UTG limps. MP limps. Hero raises K

in the cutoff. BB calls. Rest call.

Flop is J

Checked to hero. Who bets. Only UTG calls.

Turn is K

UTG checks. Hero bets. UTG raises. Hero 3-bets. UTG 4-bets. Its HU so unlimited raises are allowed. How many bets should I go?

Any reads at all? Some people in my card room would only cap the turn with the virtual nuts and won't even raise top straight on a paired board but I can tell who those people are fairly quickly.

If you think villain can cap with JT then 5-bet is good (JT 3 combos, KK 1 combo). If villain 6-bet just call down and accept the epic cooler.

I would go five bet and not think too much about it if the guy showed up with kings. No 7 bet though.

I'm going 5 bets for sure. He could have JT, AQ, TT's, AJ....Don't overestimate the hand reading ability of players. On the other hand, a 3/6 player is going to be a lot more mubsy than at the higher limits.

If it looks like he is getting low on chips he may just be getting it all in. In this case I go for all of them. If he seems like a reasonably sane player I would just call down the 6 bet and expect to chop with KJ and sometimes lose to KK's and sometimes beat JT.

Wait is the cap in your room a bet and four raises or a bet and 3 raises?

In reality I'd just call because I'm so befuddled.

Maybe you could raise but TT is ahead now. Also TT is only one combo so doing a Bayesian update we now know his range is more heavy to KK. So more only is TT ahead but now he's more likely to already have been ahead on the turn.

I'm not entirely sure as I hadn't played here in 2 years so I was just mashing the raise button. I think its a bet and 3 raises.

I would still go for the call here. This river really shouldn’t change anything because pocket tens was probably never 4b anyway. JT should hate this river so I’m still hating life when he leads here.

I limp along pre.

On the turn, I’d go 7 bets and call the 8th bet. Seems most likely you’re chopping, but since there’s one combo of KK, I don’t want to go much more than 7 bets.
