hi
i am torn in this hand between the 2 factors in the title.

Villain 1 (CO): unknown
Villain 2 (BU): one, if not the best player in that pool imo. Tough to read, well balance, cant really see any major mistake at all.
ME : should be seen as a regular TAG

XXXXX Hand #200816706152: Hold'em Limit ($0.50/$1.00 USD) -
Table 'Clavel' 6-max Seat #4 is the button
Seat 1: BB ($54.25 in chips)
Seat 2: HJ ($20.09 in chips)
Seat 3: CO ($13.23 in chips)
Seat 4: BU ($12 in chips)
Seat 6: HERO ($64.67 in chips)
HERO: posts small blind $0.25
BB: posts big blind $0.50
*** HOLE CARDS ***
Dealt to HERO [Qs Ad]

*** PF ***
HJ: folds
CO: raises $0.50 to $1
BU: raises $0.50 to $1.50
HERO: raises $0.50 to $2
Betting is capped
BB: folds
CO: calls $1
BU: calls $0.50

*** FLOP *** [4c 7c 2d]
HERO: bets $0.50
CO: raises $0.50 to $1
BU: raises $0.50 to $1.50
HERO: ?

pot is at around 19 sb we are getting around 2/19 or if im correct we need 11% equity.

why should i call:
- Range can be a bit wide.
- Pot is big
- knowing some like to get aggro in big pot at this level
- unknown might be a bad player

why should i fold:
- i am not closing the action
- i might be way behind due to the strengh showed
- no one has a cap range yet
- bad position
- if we miss the turn , we might have to fold the turn since the raising might not be over when we get there , so we calling 2 sb if not 3sb to hit a 5 outs value ( 6 might be too optimist ?).
- 1 very tough player in the hands

thoughts ?
thx!

I fold this because I'm skeptical that my pair outs are 100% good (Ac and Qc have high reverse implied odds) and I'm ahead of both of them very rarely.

My only hesitation is that button knows your range hates this flop which makes his draws excellent semi-bluffs. But even if he's semibluffing often here CO still might be way ahead.

Edit: meta-game comment, CO is unknown and BTN is a great player. Sitting in small blind is a poor decision.

hate the flop bet because it accomplishes nothing. Facing a cold 3-bet from button I fold.

Fold. Outs are dirty. RIO. Etc.

Flop bet is fine/good.

You don't want to have position on the best player at the table?

The most profitable seat is to the left of the biggest loser.

what if the left of the biggest loser is the right of the best player?

Doesn’t matter. If you’re not terrible, the best player isn’t winning more from you than the worst player is losing to you.

What rodeo said. I like better players on my left because they aren't cold calling my iso raises of the fish on my right.

+1 to all of this. lol @ not betting flop in wide range situation, we can get called by all sorts of worse hands and this board changes almost nothing from preflop (which gives us a big range edge).
