i have something i've been thinking about over the past couple days and thought i would run a poll to get some feedback.
alot of forums have on-going threads for topics such as "stars reg posts", etc. it's been previously determined that a post like that wouldn't really do much good in small stakes because since we don't have the traffic and so much of our play is live.
i was considering a couple/few high content threads that cover cornerstone topics for small stakes limit. for instance, one could be "Discussing Pot Equity Postflop". and this could be an ongoing thread that has tons of discussion, hand posts, etc. that would be related to this concept and what it entails. it would catalog everything from what it is, to examples, to whatever is contributed to it over time. this would serve as a resource to new posters that have questions on the topic. also, it would give me a thread to move alot of the same old posts that ask the same questions or hand posts that deal with the same situations.
if it becomes cumbersome i can always clean it up after a while. we could also have one for preflop discussion, blind play, or whatever major topics we see as relevant. i would limit these particular threads in number, to like maybe 4 at the max unless we see a reason to have more over time. these threads could start with the basics and get more advanced as the fundamentals are established. does this sound like something that would better the forum? at first it was a concern of mine that it would clutter the front page, but then i figured that given the ability to move some posts into it it could actually decrease the clutter.
anyway, posts thoughts and suggestions in this thread and vote in the poll. i'll leave this up for a few days or a week and see what we come up with. thanks for your input.
