I live in US and can not find a site online where there are fixed limit Hold'em games. The sites offer limit but no players. I play NL at Acr and sports betting poker and ignition- no limit players. Do I need to wait for Poker Stars to come back?

both ignition and acr have some limit games. on ignition, full tables don't show up in the lobby, so you'll need to keep checking the lobby often.

I find that the highest % of maniacs is found on sites that don't get much limit holdem action. The sites that have regular games tend to have lots of regular players that have learned how to play decent preflop ranges, 3 betting ranges, and are strategically consistent with their actions; they tend to have these aspects down to habit:

raise or fold preflop first in.

never coldcall first in; always 3 bet or fold except in the big blind.

never 3 bet from the big blind vs early position raisers.

sometimes 3 bet from the big blind vs late position raisers.

never 4 bet heads up vs a 3 bettor.

rarely 4 bet 3 ways vs a 3 bettor.

cbet a lot on static flops.

check much more on dynamic flops.

bluff from the bottom of your range on the river for a single bet.

bluff from the top of your folding range on the river for a raise.

make the mandatory calls on the river.

make the mandatory bets on the river.

use reads for the close decisions.

I left out turn play because it's so complicated and dependent on preflop positions, as well as being instrumental in creating an effective river strategy, as well as being the street that, in my opinion, has the most room for player specific adjustments.

Interesting. When I was playing 6-max LHE on Bovada/Ignition I was amazed at how bad they played... all the way up to $30/$60.
