1) KK on the button

2 limps to HJ who raises, CO folds, I 3bet, bb, limpers, and HJ calls

Flop A 9 2 r

checks to me and I bet, all call

Turn A 9 2 4 completes r

checks to me and I bet, second limper raises and we all fold

2) AQds (q of s)

3 limps to me and I raise the button. Main villain in this hand has been playing weird. Mostly loose passive but takes the lead in spots where she has a decent hand (tp+) and has led some rivers in complete nonsense spots as bluffs two times.

Anyway bb and 3 limpers call.

Flop JT3 ssc

bb x, 1st limper x, villain leads, HJ calls, I call, bb calls, limper folds

Turn JT34 sscs

bb x, villain bets, HJ calls, I call, bb folds

River JT34q sscsc

villain beta, HJ folds, I call

3) black JJ

I post a sb on the button. Folds to CO who raises, I 3bet, bb calls, CO calls

Flop T93cc

x to me, I bet, both call

Turn T934 ccc

x to me, I bet, bb raises, co folds, hero ?

I never saw him raise the turn once in 5 hours of playing with him, but he could be raising with a low flush or set? Idk. Seems like a set would have raised off on the flop.

i probably c/f the turn in the hand 1, hand 2 seems standard, hand 3 id call down, pot is too big to fold an overpair.

1st hand I was button. If I check turn how do I proceed on rivers?

My plan was putting in one more bet on the turn and then checking rivers or folding if someone donked.

You have to check flop in hand 1.

Would you be more inclined to bet with pocket tens?

No, I’d check both on such a dry board

What's your reasoning behind the check? I feel like if you check it puts you into a guessing game the rest of the hand. I'd prefer a bet. I don't think you are gonna get raised here often given the strength you've shown and the board texture. If somebody has a week Ace they probably just call. I think a raise on this flop is gonna be pretty honest and you can proceed accordingly. You can also gage who just calls your bet and decides what to do on the turn.

As played, I would have checked this turn and decided on the river.

Hand 2) standard

Hand 3) I don't think you should 3 bet and you can't fold an overpair and a flush draw. I'd just call down any improvement if he bets the river and bet any improvement if he checks. It's a crying call if you don't improve.

Your in a wa/wb situation with KK on this dry a board. When I bet, I like to either be value betting or bluffing. Betting doesn’t make you guess any less. You’ll get called by aces or 9s and occasionally dumb kq type stuff. Just take the free card and see what the action is on the turn.

Thanks. This was my assessment after the hand was over on my smoke break. I think this was a case of FPS. I figured I could bet twice and then check the river, but I think your line is best in hindsight (though further input is appreciated).

Mongidig, I also thought they would play pretty straightforward given I can have top and middle set + all AQ and AK + some AJ. Ap on the flop, I think a check is also best on the turn.

I think you played hands 1 and 2 perfectly. In hand 3, I would vomit call the turn since we have a weak flush draw. I would also puke call the river in case he is spazzing with top pair or pair + flush draw. I don't hate a river fold though since this is almost never a bluff line. Just a gross spot.

Also, I would just make 3 threads instead of putting 3 unrelated hands in one thread. Many of us post on our phones, so putting 3 hands together makes our eyes and brains bleed.
