KQs in SB, UTG is killer

UTG open check, everyone else over limps, hero and bb call - 7 handed. i didn't see value or fold equity in raising here, should i?

Flop KQ8 rainbow: hero check, mp bet, co raise, hero 3! both call
Turn 9 hero bet mp call co call
River 2 hero bet co call
villain muck

should i have waited to check/raise on turn? could or should i expect cold callers between me and bettor on the flop, with the kill?

this is a very clear preflop raise, yes

you might want to download equilab (i think pokerstove is dead) and play around with some different ranges etc

i like how you played it postflop

Easy raise preflop.

Even OOP, suited Broadway cards play very well multiway and you're not raising to get people to fold (though you don't care if some do), you're raising for value and to build a big pot.

You'll see a lot of flops that are perfect to x/r, not to mention that when you raise pre and all call, you'll have correct pot odds to call one bet to see the turn with gut shots, double back door draws with overcards, etc.

Also, when the flop hits you like it did, everybody will call OTF to try to hit their worse 2 pair draws.

you have a small % edge preflop, but also massive playability postflop (i.e. your hand is easy to play). so i would definitely raise preflop. id raise KQo here as well.

This is one of those great hands where you get to raise PF and then CF on a A74 flop with none of your suit and get everyone to look at you looks like you have three heads
