Thanks for the reply. Not sure I understand this point however. Could you clarify for me?

Back in my pre-married days, I had a woman characterize me perfectly. She said, "Leo, you want a woman to be a lady in the living room and a slut in the bedroom."

Forget the blinds and preflop action for a moment. Just imagine that you've been dropped into the hand right as the flop is being dealt in a 7-handed pot.

Now think about a hand like 86o. How different is it playing this hand from SB compared to playing from BB? You're out of position against a big field with a weak offsuit hand. The types of decisions you're going to make from SB are not that different from BB. Sure, you inherently gain *some* value by being in position against one player as opposed to none, but it's likely that this gain is minimal. So if you want to think about how hands play from SB when you limp, thinking about them as BB hands where you check is a pretty good comparison.

Ok I see where you're going. Thanks for that. I'm going to let this marinate for a bit. I'm glad though that you said there are no hard rules about SB completion. Makes me not feel so bad folding K5o when other regs complete like 100%.

My main game is 6-12 played with $2 chips, a 1-3 blind structure, and a 3+2 collection, so I actually find myself folding a lot of SB hands even with several limpers.

I don't know if this is the correct way of thinking about this particular situation, but I always think that my contribution to the pot is going straight down the hole and now I'm in the worst position in an X-way pot that is only X-1 small bets assuming the BB checks.

So I'm not quite raise-or-fold, but pretty close. Definitely folding stuff like bad kings, for instance.

I think you do have to be really tight there in worst position and only in for a third of a bet. I'd probably just play anything I would limp in with on the button.

I folded Q2o in the small blind facing three limpers yesterday because there was a maniac directly to my left in the big blind.

I think sometimes I actually miss value in the small blind, particularly when playing online; I get so used to my opponents playing raise or fold that on the occasions when someone limps in, resulting in a cascade of limps, that I find myself unchecking the [fold] checkbox which I automatically click when playing in online games with bad hands. Sometimes, I click the [fold] checkbox and then they limp in, but I'm too slow to uncheck it and I miss calling value with hands that I automatically fold blind vs blind.

Sometimes SB = 1/2 BB. And sometimes it's 1/3 and sometimes it's 2/3. What about those cases?

As a general rule, I complete all suited hands in the small blind vs. any number of players.

This is the perfect way to think about this for 1/3 IMO
