4/8 with full kill on. Kill is BB, loose chasing MA asian lady, UTG is an absolute monkey, BTN is new to the table younger ME kid with sunglasses who seemed like he was a NL player come to take some money from the' weak' LHE table.

2 limps to me I raise with Aq.

BTN calls, SB, BB, UTG one other caller 6 BB

Flop comes KJ3 one . I have one over, a GS and BDFD.

Checks to me, I check, BTN says" I got to win this one guys" or something such and bets. 3 calls, one fold, I call. 8.5 BB

Turn is a Q. Checks to me, I check, BTN bets. BB and monkey call, I call. 12.5 BB

River is a brick, checks to me, I check, BTN bets, fold, fold, I don't see anything I am beating but pot is big so I call.

Felt so weak, I don't think I can bet the flop? Maybe lead on the turn? I don't think I can fold the turn as I probably have about 6-9 outs(Q, T maybe A is good)

Can’t really fault a river call getting 16 to 1. Rest seems standard

The flop is close. Because you're never folding for one bet anyway, just betting yourself is fine. It's a good flop for your range, so if they play back at you, it should be more honest because you have great candidates for punishing them. This leads to easier hand reading across turns and rivers, imo.

OTOH, you're one check away from a free card in a large pot. Getting a free card is not without value, but the value isn't a "disaster" for the best hand because you weren't folding for one bet anyway. It's just the fraction of a sb that you get to keep instead of handing it to the best hand. And every once in a while, you're giving a free card in a big pot.

On balance, I like a bet here.
