He can't have AQ or AJ? It's not like this is a scary flop. I see people C bet here all of the time with worse. Maybe KQs or QJs with a back door flush? If those are in his range.
I would still 3 bet. getting player A to fold over cards is a big win. The best case scenario would be player A folds, the spaz caps a draw(which you have blockers) or a worse hand and the SB decides it's time to let it go.
I don't like calling and waiting to CR the field on the turn. I want to make sure to maintain the betting lead. A free card on the turn could be a disaster with such a vulnerable hand. Also, player A may have the same idea as you.
This is a spot to be optimistic. If you are beat by player A you are about to find out.
BTW..AK is a big part of his range.
