Utg fish limps, I raise AQ in EP, MP and SB call, BB 3bets. This might have been the first 3b at the table. BB's been fairly quiet up until now. Utg now caps it AI.

13:2 to call so I call (not thrilled about it), as do the rest.

5-way flop (20 SB): 752
Checks around

Turn (10 BB): J
BB bets into a dry side pot. Looks like he has AK but it's 11:1 to call and the others might call too, improving my odds. Every option feels awful. I call, as do the rest.

River (14 BB): A
BB bets. Almost certainly AK now. I don't really fear a flush given the flop inaction. Wanna fold but can't for this price right?

I had no clue how to play this hand. I feel like I got caught up in a whipsaw. The only play of mine I like is my 2b. The rest feels yucky. Please share your thoughts. Feel free to pick apart any of my actions.

BB betting the turn with AK 5-way makes little sense. AJ is quite plausible.

Sucks but I'd pay this off and hope to see a chop or something silly.

You worry about what BB has, but what about UTG? Checked around on the flop doesn't mean he doesn't have something. Your 11:1 pot odds don't mean as much when you might be fighting for the dry side pot.

I think your play PF is fine. On the turn, I would say f > r >> c. Probably have to make the river call. The only point I'm not sure about is the flop. A bet here might not be a bad idea. Maybe it gets you heads up with UTG. Maybe you get a better sense of where the others are. Maybe you can sell a flush on the river. A check-raise on the flop by BB would be strong, since you didn't have a chance to raise again PF. I think you could fold in that case. I would say a flop bet gives you more options later, but I don't hate checking it.

It is fine as long as you call the river and expect to lose the majority of the time.

Seems like an easy fold on the turn to me. Most likely the BB has a big pair and was hoping to check-raise the flop.

Preflop and flop I play the same way. I snap fold the turn, as played I'm calling the river expecting to lose most of the time.

I wasn't worried about utg. She's a fish and would limp super wide. Once she saw all the action pre, I'm sure she said F it let's cap it all in and hope for a quintuple up. She could have all PP, almost any suited hand and even big off suit cards. Her range is crazy wide here.

FWIW I checked flop because two people cold called my raise pre so I figured one of them had a PP. Even if they didn't I wouldn't expect a bet from me to fold out AK JTs KQ A5 type hands. Although then I guess you could say I'd be betting for value in this case lol.

I don't disagree about UTG. My concerns are twinned. She might have something and we won't know until the end, in the meantime we may be fighting over a dry side pot. If there were extra chips to fight for, by all means go for it. I don't want to take out the goons with a knife when the kid might have a gun. And a goon might also have a gun.

I think I have to agree with you and the others who said fold turn. It really looks like I have 3 outs instead of 6 which means I don't have anywhere near the odds to call.

I fold the turn.
as played the pot is too huge to fold at the river.
plus you hit one of you outs.
Poker Zeus would cry and rain river beats aplenty on the Hero that hits the out on the river and doesn't bet

Easy fold on the turn - you have no pair and no real draw and you're up against multiple other players. I would call the river and expect to lose.

This IMO.

I'm shocked people fold this turn I wouldn't fold naked AKo either so I don't see why people fold AQo?
