Winning Poker Network (Yatahay) - $0.50/$1 (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

MP: 53.21 BB (VPIP: 30.41, PFR: 16.49, 3Bet Preflop: 8.21, Hands: 395)
Hero (SB): 114.04 BB

Hero posts SB 0.25 BB, BB posts BB 0.5 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 0.75 BB) Hero has T T

fold, MP raises to 1 BB, fold, fold, Hero raises to 1.5 BB, fold, MP calls 0.5 BB

Flop: (3.5 BB, 2 players) 9 7 A
Hero bets 0.5 BB, MP calls 0.5 BB

Turn: (4.5 BB, 2 players) 8
Hero checks, MP bets 1 BB, Hero calls 1 BB

River: (6.5 BB, 2 players) T

Donk/call? Check/call? Check/raise? I don't like taking a line that involves folding.

Villain is a loose-passive dunderhead who misses value all over the place, but can be relied upon to raise on the river if they have a flush, although perhaps not here with a straight.

I would probably bet.

I'd bet and level myself into a call if raised. I showdown a lot.

I'd bet. We see three tens so it's hard for him to have a straight here. We also block flushes.

On the same token, calling the raise is probably okay too, since he really shouldn't have a lot of flushes or straights and can't raise you without them.

If we're going to bet the river here, shouldn't we also bet the turn?

When we check this turn we give villain a chance to bet all of his 1 pair hands that we beat that he would just fold to a turn cbet. And get to see a cheap river to draw to our str8/flush for the times he has us beat.

**** my bad.

I thought there were four hearts on the board and that we had a T-high flush.

Donk/call good IMO.

Oh Gawd.... THIS is why I sucks so bad at this no-foldem holdem. As played, I can't wait to c/c river. Yet all the veterans are saying b/c.

What hands are betting into us on the river that we beat? If I'm villain, I look to check behind (and maybe fold to our donk) all the hands we beat that have showdown value. We assume that villain has "something" as he is still with us on the river....how likely is this going to create a bluff....since we are VERY likely to be calling?

Don't just think about what the hero actually has; think about the hero's range.
