As of 7/30/21, the Oaks has 3-6 and 6-12 games every night. No sign of 15-30 or 30-60 yet. They also have some no limit games.

FWIW, the bar and the hofbrau are still closed but management says they will reopen.

Did you avoid this fate, or are there happy Az folks running around with new monies?

There was a LAGTARD who shoveled money into the pot with a-hi on a diamond draw board without any diamonds. I had tpgk. Of course he scooped when he binked his ace OTR.

Same guy I looked up with a-hi and bottom pair on two separate hands where my hands were good. Most fun one was when he opened MP and I was able to cap Aj sooted. I flopped top two and rivered a boat. There were many bets that went in on all the streets. I scooped. No money in poker. Everyone solid.

Here's my two-part LC post for the day:

1. There's about an 80% chance that I will play live poker this coming Wednesday for the first time in over two years. It will most likely be shortstacking 1/3NL, but if they happen to have a 4/8LHE game running I'll likely pounce.

2. For some reason it just popped back into my head that I took a statistics class in college and sucked at it - I have a Master's degree in Math and was pretty much a B+/A- student at it the whole time so it was strange that I sucked so much at stat. I would love a chance to re-take that stat class now that I have 8 years of looking at the world through statistical variance eyes.

They're treating LHE like it's essentially a fringe game which it isn't. Still played in lots of rooms and I hope that it stays that way bec if I can only play NL I'll likely never play again.

Howard, how are you? Play recently?

Oaks currently has nine tables. Typically, they have 4 NL games (1-2-3 and 2-3-5), 4 limit games (3-6 and 6-12) and one 6-12 Omaha/8 game (with a 1/3 kill to 8-16, silly structure).

Harveys in S. Lake Tahoe has a 4-8 LHE game going all the time the room is open Th-Sun 4PM-2AM), at least one and often two tables.

The Peppermill in Reno has 3-6 LHE game most of the time. Because it is a time game ($5/half-hour) it is actually beatable.

Small-stakes limit hold'em is alive and well, even if mid- to high-stakes games are dwindling.
